Even two showers did not quite rid her of the smell of smoke. But, she really couldn't complain. The fire was out and the paranoid mess who set it currently sat in a jail cell. So, on the whole, she'd take this as a win. After a couple of hours trying to sleep--finding herself too full of adrenaline to do so--Madd made a beeline to the tavern around the corner. She didn't bother to change out of her pajamas. They were modern pajama pants, covered in avocadoes and stupid messages. The ribbed tanktop bulged in all the wrong places, her boobs looking like they were staging an escape. The drunken people were probably too sloshed to care.

In the bar, she finds a celebration in full swing.

A small smile crosses her lips as she watches her bucket brigade clap shoulders and laugh. But that boisterousness isn't what she's after. She just wants to sit somewhere quiet and have a bear. Finally, her gaze settles on a little storm cloud in the center. He looks like the picture in the dictionary you'd see next to malcontent goth. But the redhead doesn't get any bad vibes from him. So, with a shrug, she takes a seat on the stool next to him.

"You're Gerald, right?" There weren't many Hoennians here. It was hard not to know all of them. A coin slides across the bar as the barkeep lays a tankard of her favorite down. "The survey guy?"
