Aloe had seen the advertisements for this alleged 'safari zone' many times following his arrival in Hoenn, and though visiting wasn't something he envisioned lining up with his style, the fact it was supposed to be spooky this time around was appealing. After having received the balls from the warden, he was off into the unknown- and it looked to be packed full of halloween decorations, some of which looked entirely too realistic for his taste. He liked the more cheesy-looking ones for sure, even when acknowledging his previous nefarious doings across the sea. Lighthearted kinds of things, as the world was already far too cruel.[break][break]

Taking a bite of a deep-fried slowpoke tail, he hummed in tandem with the party of three pokemon that walked/floated beside him, taking in all the exquisite and festive scenery. He didn't have many plans for going out to celebrate the holiday of the hauntings, but if something were to pop up, he figured he'd be a vampire like every other year. Unoriginal, he knew, but dressing in elaborate costumes was just too excessive for his taste. That was, unless they were his golden and gemstone jewelry sets that encompassed his chest down to his ankles, those were too stunning to pass up.[break][break]

"I wonder what pokemon await us further in." He spoke to the three beside him, only to hear no response as per usual. "I'm sure they will be a sight to behold." Now only the dim-lit forest awaited them, casting fear upon the small pokemon. Aloe figured nothing would be too big of a scare, though.

Following the bends in the Halloween-decorated path, Aloe saw a sign depicting a mega-evolved Charizard- though when he got a bit closer, he realized that instead, it was a standee, and within the hole was a golden mask. Reaching out in an attempt to grab at the gold and pocket it for himself, it shot upwards. A part of a pokemon, huh? Though it seemed pretty spooked by the attempt at the grab, the wild Yamask floated into the above and launched a will-o-wisp toward the tattoo artist, but the chiming bell was quick to jump in the way to take the burn instead.[break][break]

It was quite the hostile run-in, though Aloe wanted to see the potential in the species rather than getting its revenge; once the Chingling was to be ignited at the tips, the bat pokemon accompanying the group was quick to release an AIR SLASH toward the Yamask. An updraft that was more than capable of carrying a pokeball with it, he felt like at least trying to tame such a relentless spirit would be useful down the line. As the safari ball ticked in pending, he weighed his options if it were to fail, or more so his flight or fight response.

Scooping up the orb that freshly retained the mask pokemon, Aloe looked around at the halloween decorum and smiled. Would wearing a Yamask on his face cause a breakout, or would it provide a full-on golden mask fantasy? But these decorations seemed to be packed with little pokemon for the taking, as a wild Zubat shot out from behind a clown mask of its own and flew toward him, flapping around eccentrically as it clearly did not have vision like most ornate beasts.[break][break]

"Silly guy, got no eyes." He chimed at the poisonous bat, to which it continued to waft around the skies, casting plentiful amounts of violet haze. Flying up to meet the fellow cave-dweller, Morrigan, his Noibat, was quick to grab onto the wild pokemon's back in an attempt to allow it to fly much more stable than before. They seemed to be having a spooky bat-centric conversation, probably her chastising for reckless behavior, but he had no idea. Pokemon were pokemon, after all. Throwing a pokeball at the Zubat, he hoped the thing with no eyes would be lacking just enough brain cells to accept the capture attempt.[break][break]

After all, it did seem like a youngling.

And the brain cells it lacked, being that the bat wished to join the flock. Picking up the pokeball and continuing into the maze of halloween decorations, Aloe grabbed a couple of berries from a canister and placed them into his pocket. Morrigan wished to hold onto the pokeball holding her new friend, but he figured it would be wise to hold onto it himself- he knew deep down she would surely drop and lose it, and damn would he not wish that fate on any wild soul cursed with the inability to see.[break][break]

Out of his peripheral, he noticed that there was a wild bird following him, to which he threw the little berries so it could feast. "Hungry, eh?" Aloe asked the Murkrow, to which it called out a creaky noise in response. Giving the rest of the berries to it, it began to eat them one by one, carefully peeling the outer shell with its little talons. Once it was all filled up, and plump, he attempted to catch it. It matched his vibe to a t, so he hoped that it would prove a successful attempt.
