Up, up, up spirals the raven, catching the warm thermals that lift off the sea. Any other day and they’d be out here playing on them-- Onyx with his ass in the sand, maybe, and Zia climbing and falling, climbing and falling. Or they’d play the game where he jumps off of her and relishes the free-fall anti-gravity of his stomach before she swoops in to catch him.

Noel was just a bit nervous to be one of the few sent into enemy territory. The constant swaying of the boat unnerved him as he let out deep breaths to calm himself down. His boat touches down onto the sandy beach, separate from every other boat which veered into other locations, and its door opens, letting in a ray of sunlight to signal that they were here.[break][break]

Upon exiting the vessel he immediately notices someone who looked as if they were waiting for his arrival. With a large Steelix in tow, Noel couldn't help but assume that they had ill intentions. He sends out his own Pokemon, a Nidoking with a deadly look eager to battle whatever was in front of him.[break][break]

"Are you the welcoming party? Here I was thinking your organization would send out more people to protect themselves. Guess I was wrong."[break][break]

[attr="class","text"]Dropping heavy Pokemon on the unsuspecting-- especially in conditions like these, where the heft of Chalybe crashes down through the back (Onyx still does not know a goddamn thing about boats) of the ship and sends it caterwauling into a tipping, sinking, watery grave-- has come to be a real tried-and-true strategy for him.

His Corviknight banks a wide turn and swings around to face off against the blue-haired do-gooder who stepped out of the wreckage and threw down the gloves.

“Don’t need more people,” Onyx says, as Ziadem perches on a somewhat stable piece of destroyed ship. Both raven and rider fix Noel with a steely glare. “Just me.”

Chalybe, her rotating rocks grinding up the remnants of the ship, swings her ponderous tail around at the Nidoking.

Noel's eyes widen as his boat had now been destroyed from his opponent's attack. He feared for what may happen to its driver and other passengers. He would have to work quick through his enemy if he had any chance of rescuing his fellow League members.[break][break]

"Hey! How could you do that! Do you not have any worry at all for the people inside?"[break][break]

He was now left stranded in the middle of enemy lines and his only way out gone. His question more than likely fell on deaf ears as the Rocket's Steelix made its way towards them, an enormous tail about to crush down on Noel's Nidoking. His Pokemon holds its arms up to block the blow, however the attack was strong and knocked back the purple Pokemon. The lumbering creature stomps its foot down onto the ground, creating a crack that would find its way to the Steelix, a geyser of earthen pillars stabbing its way up in hopes of harming his foe.

Chalybe knocks the Nidoking back. In response, the beast summons up spears of earth, rocketing skyward from the ocean floor, sending huge flumes of seawater shooting into the air. Chalybe’s segmented body is caught on a few of the shafts and she is jerked and knocked about.

She manages, somehow, to collect herself, and not get yeeted off into the deep of the sea. Like a snake, she clings and writhes and curls, surmounting the arc of peaks, and fuming down bright blue dragon breath towards the purple monster.

Noel's Nidoking had no choice but to take the onslaught of the Steelix's breath. The gust strong enough to put him down on one knee. Noel looks on in horror as he feared that this was the end for the giant creature. But with what appeared to be with sheer willpower alone, it rises back on its feet and starts to close the distance. Ending its advance with a rush of two kicks aimed straight at the middle segments of the Steel Pokemon's body.[break][break]

"Hmph, not much of a talker are you? That's fine I prefer this way, there's no need for words when I know I'll mop the floor with you."[break][break]

Chalybe descended on the Nidoking, aiming to crush it beneath her bulk. But the scorched and singed dual-type fought through the pain and delivered a stunning series of kicks to the middle of Chalybe’s body with a speed and finesse Onyx did not honestly think was possible.
[break][break]
Fragments of steel-covered stone flew off Chalybe’s body as she groaned in pain. Her segments separated briefly, and her eyes closed as she fought against the innate pull of gravity to drag herself back together. The latter two-thirds of her body crashed into the water, and she remained gripping onto remnants of broken ship with the stubs of her jaw, trying to claw herself back above the surface of the sea.

Onyx narrowed his eyes, frowning. He had to weigh the pros and cons of resource loss against the sheer joy of wiping this scrub off the face of the earth. He was nothing if not professional… but the pull was there, if only just.

Chalybe managed to pull herself together. She dug her face into the shipwreck and, with a great final burst of energy, whipped herself end over end in another iron tail, aiming to crush the Nidoking flat.

After recovering from its previous move, the Nidoking was just a sitting duck ready to be plucked at any moment. It had used too much energy in the beginning of the battle and could not move out of the way in time from the opposing Steelix's attack. It raises its arms up high in a blocking motion and appears to hold it back if only for a moment. Yet the crushing weight finally takes its toll and the tail comes down with its full force onto the Nidoking, flattening it against the floor as a pool of blood begins to form from its carcass.[break][break]

"No... You... How could you? You're going to pay for that!"[break][break]

He shouts as he throws out his Milotic now onto the battlefield. It immediately firing a barrage of water through Hydro Pump filled with the pain and anguish coming from its trainer. They would now stop at nothing until this person was defeated and brought to justice.

[attr="class","text"]Chalybe’s tail comes down, the weight of it sending crushing the Nidoking into a viscous, organ-leaking pancake. She rolls to the side, smearing blood and guts as she goes, turning the white-froth water red with viscera.

“Comes with the territory.”

The Milotic’s hydro pump blasts Chalybe into the air, sending her flying in Onyx’s direction. His Corviknight gives an ungainly squawk and the two of them have to dive to the side to avoid being crushed under the Steelix’s weight. She splashes down into the sea with white-ruffed plumes of seawater.

Onyx is knocked asunder, first unbalanced by having to dodge, then caught by the tidal wave of Chalybe’s demise, for as her trainer is knocked around like flotsam, the Steelix sinks, down, down, down.
[break][break]
Ziadem screams; she can’t find Onyx in the raging waves, leaving him alone in the water with his opponent’s Milotic.

While in the deep sea, Noel's Milotic watches as the Steelix begins to drown down into the dark depths, with a trail of red floating upwards from the remains of its companion. As it began to swim back to the shore with the safety of its trainer, it notices Onyx on the way back, the Rocket member swept up by the waves and now attempting to come back to land. The serpent-like Pokemon slithers its way towards the enemy, coiling its lower body around with no chance of resistance in its natural habitat. With its foe captured, it returns to Noel and lets go of Onyx.[break][break]

Noel lifts the man up to his feet and grabs hold of his shirt, keeping him in place with a tightened fist. He delivers a swift and fierce punch at his face, knocking him unconscious and then gets ready for another. Yet he could do much worse, he could take his revenge right here for all the wrong this man had done to him. But he couldn't bring himself to do any worse, it would only make him the exact same as the people in Rocket. He drops him to the floor, letting his unconscious body open to whatever or whoever may come his way. Then giving a side glance to his Corviknight which had been frantically looking for its owner.[break][break]

"If you know what's good for you you'll leave us alone. Be thankful I didn't do anything else."[break][break]

The tired trainer starts to make his way towards the direction of his company's boats. While capture would have been ideal his first priority right now would be to get help and report on the situation. He would come back after this journey and hopefully the beaten Rocket would still be there on his return.[break][break]
