He doesn't want to care, but he sort of does. At last when Bryan reveals his own boyfriend didn't care about what he'd done. His eyebrows furrow despite himself. He couldn't imagine not caring- not even a little? But Bryan doesn't get into it, and he wasn't about to push for a transcription of that conversation either. Maybe it'd make more sense if he understood Priam, but as far as he knew they were just another lab rat that was really good at their job. [break][break]

"Soft?!" Mint bristled immediately. He flared up like a firework, incensed at the declaration. Was it true? Yes, at last Mint thought of it as true. Did he enjoy having some asshole speak it out loud? Absolutely not. [break][break]

He's about to protest further, but stayed quiet. His track record in love interests did not paint the best picture, with red flag after red flag. Even Winter was a bad move, but he'd done it anyway before Tempest Quinn found him. Mint grimaced ass he looked up at Bryan. What did he want, validation? Despite earlier aggression, Bryan doesn't rise to any action this time. He doesn't threaten or glare. If anything, he seemed a little defeated, deflated. priam conrad hit him really hard huh? Well, now like he cared anymore. "Fine." he echoed with a fake smile stuck to his face as he let the wolf wander off. [break][break]

In another life he may of felt pity, let it overtake him. He would've given chasse, offered comfort. Mint would've tried to be helpful, friendly, forever warm and welcoming. He felt the urge, deep down as he watched Bryan walk away. He almost felt bad. [break][break]

But the black tar, the depths of acid in his stomach fade with satisfaction the farther Bryan gets. He'd glad the guy felt like shit. He's glad his one true love is on the rocks. He got what he deserved, and Mint couldn't ask for more. The shoulder slump, the forlorn look, all signs of emotional distress. Good. [break][break]
