Not that she needed the label, of course. Still though, that pat was evidently a proper, good one, so she did not mind. “And I guess that’s important. To stick with others for once. Going on a solo journey probably got me into a weird headspace for a good bit.” She sounded a court laugh, but the self-criticism was still on point, she reasoned.

he learns more about megan than he would have in the gym. this is why these missions are good; they prove to be a breath of fresh air and a deviation from their standard routine.[break][break]

“More than a year, if I remember correctly.” Sure, she had marked the calendar when it had started, but it was difficult to say when exactly she had truly stopped. Things had been rather fluent, especially after meeting those legendary beasts. Megan could make a case for quite a number of days in that regard.

Though he probably did not care about that. It was rather interesting though, to hear him talk about. “I will have to remind you though, I didn’t go out at a super young age and stuff. If it didn’t make me sound quite old, I’d call it more of a mid-life crisis. Which I won’t, of course. Though I kind of thought that you were one of those kids setting out as soon as possible to become a champion. Kind of fits you better.”
