Nighttime in Mauville was anything but dead. Lights filled the city and people all around socialized with friends, family and loved ones. But Zata preferred his own company. He was just stopping by the city and decided he could get some very much needed drink. The dark haired man walked into a pub and went straight for the bar counter, sitting on one of its high cushioned stools. He rested his arms on the mahogany bar and a bartender approached him from behind the counter. "Whiskey, on the rocks." He ordered. [break][break]

As he waited, Zata looked around. The bar wasn't full, it wasn't empty either. The atmosphere was easy with its soft lighting and the soothing jazz instruments paired with singing from a woman on a stage, her voice soothing to listen to. Everything fitted his needs. He felt at ease and comfortable; And when the bartender presented him his glass of whiskey he was as happy as a child on Christmas morning. [break][break]Zata twirled the glass around, rocking the clunking ice inside. He brought it close to his face so he could smell the highly concentrated drink. "Ahh," he moaned before taking a sip. The liquid burnt his throat, at least the sensation of it. But Zata didn't mind the pain, he welcomed it. After waiting with his eyes closed the flavorful aftertaste then set in. [break][break]
