Likewise, the redhead's gaze wanders across the sky behind her opponent, but safe for the thunderstorm forming overhead their illustruous spectator remains hidden from their sight.

"I'm Yvaine," she returns the introduction to Cian, who's smile is proving awfully contagious. "Let's steal the Thunder God's thunder, Cian!"

The signature red beam releases her Zoroark unto the stage, crimson mane as vibrant as his trainer's drifting upon the wind as it raises to its full length, looking awfully giddy for the upcoming battle.

Despite the size of the little water-type, the Hydro Pump that blasted forth lacked nothing in terms of size, power and speed. The redhead grins; grand opener for a clash among lightning thieves!

"Close in with Agility and go for its head!"

With a growl the shadow fox crouches unto all fours and makes a run for it, its speed gradually increasing as it gains momentum, zigzagging towards the torrent of water head-on. Where water and mon would meet, it leaps into the air, throwing its claws back in an attempt to land a Night Slash if its dodge is successful.

Against all odds, Zoroark circumvents the Hydro Pump and lands its attack with striking accuracy.

It's hard to hide the giddiness roaring through her body, but she tries to push it down as to not lose herself into it prematurely.

The Froakie seems to follow up quite nicely, sending another Hydro Pump at him before disappearing in a well-placed Smokescreen.

This time however, Zoroark fails to dodge, catching the torrent of water square in the chest. A loud growl follows as it is blasted away, claws digging deep furrows into the ground to stop itself from being pushed back any further. It hisses at the cloud of smoke hiding the Froakie from view and roars menacingly, trying to Taunt it into revealing itself.

Zoroark flicks its head towards it, slamming its glowing fists into the ground to inflict a Night Daze to counter its attack.

Although favorably, they've had the tables turned on them often enough to know not to back down just yet.

Seeing the Froakie wave through its Night Daze, tongue prepared for a Lick attack, Zoroark doubles down, pushing a second Night Daze out, hoping to take the water frog down with it.

Pride isn't enough to word what she feels as the Zoroark returns to her side, not yet recalled to the confinements of its pokéball to rest.

The spark of battle settles lightly in her chest, and the hopes for a rematch in the near future with it.
