the parasol twirls as she walks, her faithful shadow behind her.

the pair stands out and yet not. it is her confidence, her opulence - and his shadowy, cautious walk that draws the eyes. but most people in this city are either vacationing, rich and powerful, or just trying to make it in life. she is clearly of the second breed, and it shows. but eyes or not, she finds herself at the right building. she doesn't even open the door herself, but instead smiles at her companion, as he opens it for her. the guard at the desk snaps up, but her singular glance sits him back down. she marches confidently over to the elevator, slips in with her companion and punches the numbers.

as the ride goes up, there is only silence. she is thinking of the talk ahead - and he remains silent. often times, she really has no idea what goes through his head honestly, and perhaps that is why it's so much fun to her to try and figure it out.

when the elevator stops, she makes her way out and to the last barrier - the entry door. she turns to her companion, and smiles as she folds the parasol. "remember - business as usual joachim." she said. and that's when she knocked on the door, as he stepped away, intending to stay outside. shifting a stray lock of hair, straightening her outfit, she finds herself feeling a bit excited.

this, this is what she lived for.

the door opened, and nanette's lips curved into a warm smile.

"thank you, thank you! I wanted to make sure I arrived promptly, but sometimes things don't go as planned. and oh my, your pokemon are very charming!" she said, her voice light. she easily steps in, the click of her heels still behind her, and maneuvers to let the other woman sit before she. she seats herself, snapping the parasol shut, and placing it across her lap. she tilts her head a little, observing the frame of this woman, that she knows to be part of the same circles as her. she has thought and pondered over the invitation, but only found one solution - the meeting.

"now, we could exchange pleasantries all day, but let's get to the heart of the matter hm? of course, if you would like to do the social pleasantries, I certainly can. but I would like to think both of our time is valuable." she said, her voice still light, but there's a tone of sharpness in it. she doesn't shift her weight, instead sitting up straight even as her violet eyes seek to hold the opposite woman's own gaze. "I admit, I find myself curious of course, even if I do have a feeling of what you're going to say. it's not often that others of our particular leanings contact me. so, the floor is yours." she adds after a heart beat. her curiosity gleams, but she doesn't show any aggression or impatience.

after all, until this woman decided to threaten her, she would not be anything but curious, gracious and polite.
