"Yvaine," The redhead taps her fingers against her temple in greeting. "And my trusty pal Zoroark, blessing and bane of my existence." Her face cracks into a grin at the faux-offended face her Zoroark makes upon being introduced, trying her best not to laugh at its antics. The Zoroark sticks out its tongue at her and raspberries, then flips it hair back with all the verve of a pouty toddler before getting unto the field.

It takes a moment to take in its opponent; a green thing with suspiciously sharp arms.

Zoroark huffs softly at the Scyther, than grins, lowering itself unto all fours, crouching low.

"Let's get cracking, shall we? Zoroark, Foul Play!" Zoroark sets off, a dark aura engulfing its body as it barrels towards the Scyther, hoping to tackle it head-on.

Both Scyther and Zoroark clash head-on, the burnt of its tackle a struggle, but John's Scyther gets the upperhand rather quickly, strike upon strike sinking deep within the large fox's fur.

With a hiss it tries to jump backwards, creating some distance between them before crouching down, slamming its fists into the ground. A rumbling shockwave of dark energy pushes past Zoroark's silhouette as it uses Night Daze to push Kama even furhter back.

Shit. A feeling of desperation both trainer and mon shared as the tide turned almost instantly. The surging red aura pulled at their instincts, a danger sense they'd been subjected to in all their previous years.

Even if it would try to dodge, it knew it would fail. So Zoroark did what it deemed the best strategy, and braced itself for impact, keeping its center of gravity as low as possible as the wall of winds ripped through it.

In such a short time Zoroark's power had been decimated, and the way it sunk to all fours showed the damage it had received was enormous. When it rises it does so slowly, as if performing the most arduous of deeds.

But if there was one thing to be said about her partner, it was that even in the worst of scenarios, it was resilient. Tenacious. Stubborn.

With a soft, rumbling growl it looked up at the Scyther; a most formidable foe. It throws back its arms, sharp clawss glowing brightly as the Zoroark propels itself towards Kama yet again. A double Night Slash prepared to lash out if it can manage to get close.

Zoroark grows cocky as its claws pierce and bounce against the Scyther's carapace; too much so, in fact. Putting its weight into its strikes it becomes an easy target for his opponent when it dodges and pivots around it, leaving himself vulnerable for any attack.

And the attack his opponent chooses is one it cannot dodge. Trying to regain its balance it is numbed by the scythe that slams down on its head, and although it tries to resist, the power and resolve behind the strike proves too much.

It's thrown assunder, bouncing off against the ground as it buckles beneath Scyther's iron mettle. Its lights fade.

Zoroark does not get up anymore. Their battle is fought.

They have lost.
