Gwyar tilted his head as he approached his end of the arena, his opponent from across it feeling strangely... familiar.

Hmm...

"... I am Gwyar Wledig." He finally said after a moment, unclipping a pokeball from his belt before holding it out towards Kazimir Wynters. "Let this match be a fruitful one."

He eyed his opponent and squinted. He was...Galarian if he was right. But that wasn't what caught his interest. "Have...we met before?"

"Not in this life." He said simply, before swiping his arm. "Now— let us begin."

Lancelette surged forth in an instant, a blazing hot aura wrapping around her as she charged the Urshifu.

"Another?" The question didn't linger very long as the sight of the bird caught both Trainer and Pokemon's attention and the bear brought up his fists to brace himself for the attack. The aura stings against his skin and his feet drag across the dirt as he's pushed back by the strength of the bird. Still even as his arms break apart he doesn't fall over and plant his feet on the ground as he roars with a bulk up letting his muscles grow and show off to the crowd and opponents before them. "Don't think hitting our weakness will take us down that easily."

Even as they spoke, their opponent's were visibly growing in strength, taking that moment to empower themselves. A frightening proposition, given the strength of Urshifu.

But.

Gwyar dragged his arm across the air confidently. "If it occurs several times, however..."

On cue, Lancelette flew spun around to round back to the Urshifu, her speed rapidly increasing as she prepared for a precision strike, aiming at the ursine's leading shoulder.

TL;DR:
-Lancelette is using Pluck.

There was a slight tilt of the head as the other man spoke. His words caught the other man's attention like bait and now his brain was half focused on the battle and half focused on trying to figure out if they actually knew each other. The longer he stared at the man he swore he saw him before yet there was something about him that didn't seem right.

"Crap. Domon watch out!" When he realized the bird had flown circles around his partner he tried to warn the bear but it was already too late. A beak found its prey in the Urshifu's shoulder and the bear could only growl as he quickly turned around, a speck of red falling from his shoulder wound as it tore around the beak and delivered a wicked blow as a counter to the bird.

Vs Kazimir Wynter

Her precision strike landed— but she definitely got the short end of the stick in that trade off.

Her breast plate had been entirely caved in after that wicked blow landed and sent her flying back. Barely managing to recover mid air, the shocked Corviknight did a round turn before flapping her wings to rise high in the air, looking down at her opponent whilst trying to regain her wits.

Perhaps trying to avoid another such blow, she went for a ranged attack, gathering shades and a dark aura around herself before sending them hurtling towards Domon.

TL;DR:
-Lancelette is using Power Trip.

The dark aura both washed over and burned the Urshifu as he stood his ground to not be blown back by it. With a growl he clapped his hands together to form a ball of aura between his palms. "Think flying outta range will keep ya safe?!" Kaz yelled out signaling his partner to fire off his aura sphere at the bird.

The Power Trip was keeping it from flying straight but its will was the same as the Urshifu. It was looking to strike back against the bird. As the two fought Kaz took another look at the man and suddenly something clicked in his head. He DID see this guy before! He was... "Hey! You're that blacksmith guy!"

Casually, he raised his gauntlet in the air— and Lancelette transformed.

From a shattering dark egg, she launched out in her mega form, flying in a straight line towards Domon as a fiery haze consumed her form.

TL;DR:

-Lancelette is using Brave Bird.

"We need to catch up after this!" If his memories of an alternate home in Galar were any indication this man helped him create a sword unlike any other. While such a weapon wasn't really needed during these times he remembered that the two of them enjoyed their company a little bit. It was hard to tell when things were so fuzzy.

Raising his hand with a glove slipped on a dark aura erupted from Domon as he too under went Mega Evolution and charged right at the bird. The darkness gathered into his fist as he threw it forward into a gmax one blow that shot across the field with all of his rage for this fight packed right in.

Vs Kazimir Wynter

Lancelette must've been feeling bold, because she did not divert her path despite the oncomming blast of death coming her way.

She treaded the needle instead, performing a tight barrel roll around the blast as it came, accelerating further until she became a blur as a vortex consumed her form.

TL;DR:

Seeing the bird still struggling to keep it going he was rather impressed. "Your partner ain't bad, but we ain't looking to add a loss to our total. Let 'em have it Domon!" His cry lit up the fire inside the Urshifu's heart as he stared down the oncoming bird.

He would have to intercept it, no way was simply countering going to cut it. He was going to feel pain this time around, so so be it. Rearing his head back he waited till the bird was just close enough and let his skull fly forward. An iron head might not do much against a Corviknight specifically but anything was worth a try.

As Domon fell to one knee he was return into his ball for some proper rest as Kaz twirled it on the tip of his finger. Even with the big grin on his face he gave a wave to the other man and held up his partner's capsule in the hopes that it could see their opponent. "You werent' half bad yourself, let's chat sometime when this is over. Us Galar boys gotta stick together." The more he looked at him the more he could see the features one would have were they born over there. Guy had the handsome face of a knight if he's ever seen one.
