A Corviknight descends upon his side of the battlefield, her vast wingspan kicking up a large cloud of dust, her crimson gaze piercing her opponent.

Finally, someone who knew just to get down to business. Seb didn't want to have some inane chit chat with random people he didn't know. Gwyar was already his favorite opponent and the match hadn't even started yet.[break][break]

A nod given, followed by a whistle. An absolutely massive unit of a Talonflame landed on the ground between the two men on the field, head tilted as it watched the Corviknight.

Unaware of his opponent's apparent liking to him, Gwyar nodded at Lancelette.

She nodded at the massive Talonflame in turn, before flapping her wings to launch high into the sky. Fire vs Steel wasn't the ideal, but she was confident in being able to handle it.

Hopefully the dice wouldn't take offense to that.

She launched forward, wings shining brightly like polished steel plates as she neared her opponent.

TL;DR:
-Lancelette is using Steel Wing.

The Pressure from the other pokemon fell on him, but Alpha refused to let himself be beat. Actually, for some reason he found he wanted to impress the Corviknight.[break][break]

Instead of doing his usual move, Alpha launched himself right at the attack with one in turn; his own Steel Wing to try and meet the Corviknight's in the middle.[break][break]

Seb watched his pokemon, then blanched.[break][break]

"God, why now." The other sighed and covered his eyes with a hand.

Gwyar didn't quite comprehend why Sebastian was... how did the youth call it now?

Cringing?

The clash of steel wings boomed across the arena, the shockwave rippling through the seats as the two avians bounced off each other. It was hard to tell if Lancelette had been impressed, but she certainly looked surprised to have her strength matched.

Not enough to let herself get caught off guard, though. With another flap of the wings and a more determined look in her eye, she launched towards Alpha once again, her form seemingly catching flames as a blazing haze surrounded her.

TL;DR:
-Lancelette is using Brave Bird!

Seb mostly just looked very put out by his pokemon when he glanced at the battle again. His foot had started to tap with some nervous frustration on the ground.[break][break]

Alpha, meanwhile, flicked his tail at Lancellette as she dove for him with a Brave Bird. While not a move he could match exactly, he still allowed his body to spark up with a Flame Charge, intending to meet the other head on. As if that would help his chances.

The two avians clashed and glanced off each other yet again.

This time, Lancelette seemed to actually take more notice of her opponent, her gaze peering over her shoulder as they soared past. There was a glint in her eye that hadn't been there before now.

Though whether this was good or bad for Alpha, would be up for him to decide.

Because was followed was a flash of crimson and a sonic boom.

Rocketing through the sky at high speed, it seemed that whatever interest Lancelette had on Alpha had become a test, the corviknight swiveling across the sky at the speed of sound before barreling towards him.

TL;DR:
-Lancelette is using the Z-move: Supersonic Skystrike!

It was another one of those super powerful moves. His last match had used one as well; Alpha couldn't even compete and got swept away like it was nothing.[break][break]

But, at least this time Seb and Alpha knew what was coming... kind of.[break][break]

Alpha wasn't one to be taken down on a challenge of speed, though! So, fluttering in the air a moment, he charged forward with a Quick Attack to try and knock into the steel type.

Alpha's sole mistake was charging at Lancelette, instead of away from her.

With the overflowing power of infinity energy, whether he was faster or not really didn't matter— like a race car running into a truck.

As the battle came to an end, Lancelette landed back on her side of the field a little worse for the wear and certainly tired— but strangely refreshed, too.

Gwyar tilted his head at her, noting the way her gaze stayed on her opponent.

"... Well done." He simply said after a moment, patting her wing.
