Personality: A pretty calm, reserved, yet caring man, Laurence can only be found mostly to himself and with the few people whom he lets into his life. He especially is a man of few words, often using his way of body language and his Pokémon do the talking for him, though occasionally his daughter, Sophia, will take much of the work from them, going the extra mile to translate and transcribe the silent or even mumbled words that her father will utter towards others. If it were not for his profession, it would not be a shock that likely Laurence would be described by many as the silent giant, his demeanor at first an off-putting appearance before he benevolently gives you treatment. It is something he has managed to work on due to his raising of Sophia, and it is only thanks to her that he has gotten so far in it. [break][break]


Backstory: 
A former doctor from the pre-crime-infested Sootopolis, Laurence had once had little to worry about outside of his daughter, Sophia, his only child. When it came to her, his world seemed to be in place, there were stepstones he simply had to follow and at the end of his journey, her smile would make it all worth it. It was difficult at first, with him being her only parental figure, but he'd stick it out from beginning to end, because what else would a father ask for...[break][break]

However, during the invasion of Rocket, he had little that he could do but sit there, clutching Sophia in his arms as the world changed everything around him. Hospitals that were filled with aspiring trainers soon were packed with those who ran the neighborhoods, the men and women who extorted and resorted to low-handed tactics, and soon though he hadn't fully accepted it, Laurence himself had gotten himself tied into Team Rocket as their underworld doctor. The pay was good, and with such a newfound connection, he had found ways to keep his daughter safe as well...And for that, he couldn't turn it away.
