Haoyu Tso

Haoyu was raised by natural practitioners of medicine. As a semi-rebellion, he pursued more artificial and modern medicine, though he found after medical school that it was not fulfilling to him. He liked working with cadavers the most and trying to determine cause. This interest led him to forensics; he loves a mystery. He threw himself into his forensic work, though he spent some time in Alola working with his forensic mentor.

His time there taught him that he loves looking at crimes in nature. In particular, he solved a string of arsons eight years ago that earned him a reputation in Alola and a handshake with the Kahuna of Melemele. His interest in it became so consuming that he volunteered every spare moment at the fire department on island. This is still his primary interest, though he pursues many flights of fancy.

Haoyu's mind can comprehend many different disciplines, but his genius is inhibited and inspired by his obsessive personality. When he finds something interesting, it becomes his passion at the cost of his health and all other elements of his life. All of the odd events in Hoenn have brought Haoyu to its shores, desperate to see what can be gained here.
