the man before her blurs around the edges, pixels reconstructing themselves into someone else. black turns a striking blue; his quiet, composed demeanor breaks, each fidget languid and loud. beside him is a girl and there are tears in her eyes and freya's heart stutter-stops.

she reaches and he fades and

she's standing alone

with ashes around her

and the sky is falling.

and ever grande is on fire.

and she is hopelessly, inevitably, irrevocably alone.
