Melody had been feeling rather pressured lately as the top Champ of hoenn. She felt trapped in a labrinyth of her own making. Her own labrinyth created by Daedalus, funny that the club she found herself in was named Icarus. Only time would tell if the glue would melt off of her wings. [break][break]

She needed a stress relief, and one of her few escapes was into the arts, performing, music. So when someone who had recently appeared and adopted a pokemon into their care asked her to perform for their club. Melody had accepted, it was during her off hours and cut into her sleep schedule but some things were worth it. [break][break]

She sits in the back rooms fixing her own music as she flew solo tonight instead of her usual performance resources. It was a nostalgic feeling, having to do her own music, adjust her outfit. It was whimsical. She hummed to herself as she continued to prepare.

Icarus is quite busy tonight --busier than usual-- which means Aris has been slumped with work and has been running around the club to fix fires and talk to customers who insist on complaining directly to the manager.[break][break]

The star performer tonight is none other than Melody Miro, so it's no surprise that the club is packed. However, Aris' job today is more than just managing Icarus or keeping people away from the basements housing Rocket's activities.[break][break]

He strides up and knocks on the open door to the back room in which the idol is preparing for her show. He wears a warm, easy smile on his lips, which now adorns a fresh, vertical scar.[break][break]

"Hey hey, just checking in. Is everything still on track? Can I be of any help?"[break][break]

Onis, the very Nickit that Aris had adopted, sits on his shoulders and looks around the environment with wide, observant eyes. [break]

As Aris enters the room, he'd find the Diva with two bobby pins in her mouth as she fixes her hair. As soon as the pin in her hand was in place she'd take the other two out of her mouth and slide them between her fingers. "I should be all set here! Actually, can you pass me that?" she says using her lips to point to the hair spray bottle on the counter.[break][break]

"You know when I was just a nobody youtube artist, I used to dream of the day I could hire people to do this stuff for me." As she laughs a moment and smiles towards the nickit with a little wave. "But now I miss times like this where I could just do it myself."

Aris enters the room at the pleasant chime of her voice. Melody's request sends him striding towards the counter and he picks the bottle up, turning it over to read the label out of curiosity before moving to stand next to her.[break][break]

A light chuckle escapes his lips as Aris loosely dangles the bottle in front of her. "We always miss what we don't have, don't we?" People have a tendency to miss their past, no matter how horrible they say it may have been. Nostalgia can be a powerful pair of rose-tinted glasses. [break][break]

Aris doesn't get it.[break][break]

"I get it, though. Honestly, I commend you for putting up with strangers who constantly touch your hair and poke through your personal bubble. I can barely handle living with my roommates."[break][break]

The Nickit on Aris' shoulder doesn't react much to Melody's greeting. He looks at her with his big, curious eyes, occasionally blinking and flicking his ear.[break]

She smiles at the nickit's wide eyes and flicking ears. A mischievious little Pokémon but an extremely helpful guy for misplaced keys and items.[break][break]

"Well, it bothers me too but over time you adjust to it." she says as Melody was always rather touchy feely after all the perfect idol couldn't be one who hated people getting close to her now could she? Her mother wouldn't allow it. [break][break]

Melody grabs the bottle and shakes it, spraying the product into her head to finish the seal on it all. "How's the outside looking? Sorry if my fans get a little crazy. But I'm glad I can still help out a local places drum up some business."

"Well, that can be said about any awful situation, right?" Aris chuckles as he leans against the counter and watches the idol work. He waves his arm dismissively at her worries. [break][break]

"Crazy is what I adjusted to here. Alcohol tends to do that to people, but at least I'm never bored. Thank you for helping out again."[break][break]

Onis, sensing that there is now a surface closer to him than the ground, jumps off of Aris' shoulder and onto the countertop. He starts to sniff around at the things lying around before picking up a compact mirror in his mouth, jumping onto the ground and trotting up to Melody. He looks up at her with the same wide eyes. Maybe she wants this as well?[break][break]

Aris rolls his eyes at his Pokemon. "Onis, leave the nice lady alone."
