It positively dwarfed the Iron Crown in sheer mass. Of course— Pokemon battles were rarely decided by size.

The gym leader's arms folded behind his back, silent as ever as he witnessed the conflict about to unfold.

The Iron Crown's lifted its head high, horns glowing brightly as a shrill lightning cracked into the field, an Electric Terrain swiftly spreading about the arena.

Immediately after, the booming roar of an engine came from the Paradox pokemon's chasis, its body emitting a neon glow as its quark drive came alive.

The giant moved swiftly, charging forth in a swath of fire— the mech did not attempt to meet its attack with equal fervor, lightning dancing at its steel hooves as it launched into motion.

It zipped sharply about the arena, its feet tearing into the soil as it put distance between itself and the titan, before suddenly zooming in and attempting to barrel unto its side, avoiding the blazes entirely.

The steel machine's eyes flashed, its neon crown glowing brightly before extending into twin massive blades, swinging into the earth and carving out the soil with a sharp, raking movement.

A massive wall of dirt was kicked up by the attack, rock and soil crashing against the superheated blast and exploding into a violent cloud of dirt, the curtain of dust rapidly spreading about the battlefield and blocking visibility.

Sparks of lightning danced about the dirt wave, the click clack of hooves hopping from one end to another suggesting at advancing movement.

A powerful swipe crashed against steel— and the steel crashed back in return.

The rattling that briefly filled the air would be familiar to the challenger, though the speed and power with which the retaliation came was incomparable to before, the cloud of dust and heat getting brushed aside as a shockwave spread out from within the arena.

The two combatants were revealed, as did the extent of the damage to the battlefield, superheated dirt caking large segments of the arena.

For whatever reason, it... allowed it, simply standing there and staring down its opponent, casually tapping its steel hoof along the burning soil.

Lightning roared around the steel machine, before it launched backwards and away from the charging creature, zig zagging sharply around swipes as it was given chase.

Though the flames singed at its steel chasis and brought forth damage, and though it... appeared to be a machine, there was something almost haughty about the way it looked upon the titan.

Its hooves dragged and kicked into the earth as they lunged and smashed through the terrain, kicking up walls of dust as they moved.
