SILVERIO ELIGIO DELFINO

OVERVIEW

A Pokémon trainer, once a champion of the Paldean region, he ventured into Hoenn as a means to study and train abroad after earning a degree in Environmental Science; he is in fact the first of his generation to venture outside Paldea. In the few years since he has touched down upon these lands, Silverio now calls Rustboro City his 'home away from home'.

While he's not offering a hand out on the fields, Silv periodically writes home to his family in Montenevera. In fact, his three starting Pokémon had once belonged to his father; they were passed down to Silv (two of which were in their first stage at the time) as parting gifts to aid him on his quest outside the borders.

He is said to be a man of few words, but he means them. At first glance, it can be assumed that Silverio emanates some rather unwelcoming and oddly intimidating energy. On the contrary, he's a stern, resolute, daring, and charming individual. A charismatic enigma; one day he'll be looking to find a place in your circle, and then the next day, he's got a watchful eye on you.

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

While he may have a couple years or so of Ranger experience under his belt up to this point in time, Silverio's feet may not be completely wet as of yet, even with all that he's learned up until now. In other words, there's always room for improvement. With that in mind, Silv is always looking for opportunities to grow, practically sleeping with one eye open. (More details may be added later, pending development).

STANDSTILL

While he has gained a general sense as to what's going down around Hoenn at present, Silverio doesn't quite fully grasp the 'why' or 'how' of it all just yet. His initial plan after leaving Paldea had been to study abroad, but after being swept into a bunch of shenanigans and eventually into the Rangers' business, that plan had been set aside. Furthermore, after certain experiences that perhaps could've gone better, Silv now finds himself quizzically uncertain about his position within the Rangers organization and wondering if there'll ever be an opportunity for growth there. Maybe someone willing to share their insight on the aforementioned matters may help him straighten things out for himself going forward...

NOT ON THE SIDELINES

A battle that has changed the vast landscape of Sootopolis and Petalburg -- possibly forever -- has come and gone, but Silverio's conscience can't help but to pin most of the blame for the outcome on himself. Why? Because he couldn't be there to help; there were friends and colleagues fighting for their lives out there, and the Paldean was nowhere to be seen. Since then, he aspires to do more, and to do better, in attempts to defend the environment that he continues to study. More recently, he's had involvement in skirmishes near Petalburg and Rustborn, and had gotten fairly roughed up as a result. Despite his injuries, he continues to work towards a brighter future for not only the world, but for himself as well.

ACQUAINTANCES & COLLEAGUES

• robin coello - A fellow Ranger, met by chance while on an expedition through Granite Cave. They've been gone on other expeditions together since then, and have also worked together as part of the 'W.A.T.E.R OPS' team in Sea Mauville. She claims that ghosts are her biggest fans, although Silv finds no reason to doubt her in that sense.
• Josh Devlin - A fellow Ranger, having worked together on a mission and also in the 'W.A.T.E.R. OPS'. It was thanks to him where Silv got to ride on a Pyroar's back for the first time, and what a wild ride that was.
• Elise Calcifet - The Captain of the Rangers' Rustboro City branch. Silv found himself interested in the stories she's told him, his interest piqued by the unusual pokémon in her possession. Never before has imagined having an opportunity to meet a royal though. Suppose that's a prime example of the world working in mysterious ways.
• Shalin Nariya - The Captain of the Rangers' Petalburg City branch. Having met in the woods near Petalburg, she displayed a demonstration of her Sygna Suit to him while out in the wild. While doing so, it's likely that he may have made some other new acquaintances in the form of pokémon.
• Yuina Higashi - Silv met her in the Museum of Natural History in Slateport City. While there, he encountered some never-before-seen pokémon which bore a striking resemblance to other well-known species. It turns out that both had belonged to Yuina, who happens to be a historian working there.
• DESIREE BLOOMS - One of Hoenn's Gym Leaders, she approached Silv on a whim in Slateport's Upper District, stating that she would rather have met him on the battlefield, especially after having heard tales of his exploits in Paldea. In the midst of chaos, Silv agreed that he hoped they could have met under better - more peaceful - circumstances.
• Navy - The Sheriff of Dewford, better known as 'Navy'. Silv had offered a hand in his operations there once or twice, then wound up having a one-on-one pokémon battle against Navy's one-armed Iron Valiant. It's crazy how things escalate in such unorthodox manners, right?
• annalise henderson - One of the Ranger Captains that Silverio was assigned to mount operations with, as part of the 'W.A.T.E.R. OPS' team in Sea Mauville. After a painfully awkward interaction between the two of them, Silv suspects that he may not have made a good impression on her at all, which leads him to believe that he should steer clear of her whenever possible, if only to avoid triggering further conflict between them.
• Althus Rex - Silv was tasked with leading an operation in Sea Mauville as part of the 'W.A.T.E.R. OPS' crew with this young man under his jurisdiction. For some strange reason, Rex constantly butchers the Silv's name, much to the ranger's dismay.

FRIENDS

• AIRI WATANABE - A longtime companion since the days he had started out in Hoenn. She's the one whom Silv had learned much from about life as a Ranger, and two have become fairly close during that time. She is dangerously flirtatious and likes to tease the man, but it's all in good fun...right?
• saskia volosenkova - A fellow Ranger, based in Oldale Town. Silv rescued her during an operation in Sea Mauville as part of the 'W.A.T.E.R. OPS' team, of which the two would go on to execute together in the end. He then managed to rescue her a second time, that one being from spooky developments involving an Ariados in an allegedly haunted house. A spunky young woman she is, but somehow, Silv can guess that she means well.
