Because of the Pokemon they’re looking for, Bash and Metz actually got to skip the muddy, marshy bit all together. Which made all his extra planning look rather silly. And sweaty, he realized.

The tiny Capsakid came screaming out of the brush at them, clacking its little egg-tooth. Bash shrieked and jerked back, protecting his ankles.

Barometz approached the seedling from the side and football kicked it. It went flying away with a squeaking sound.

“God, I forgot how angry those little things are,” he said, lining up a Safari Ball with the Capsakid’s down arch.
