Airi stands outside of the entrance of the Giant Chasm. The Ranger Nurse has been assigned to explore the tundra area in search of finding a specific plant for Arctozolt. Apparently, the eccentric fossil creature has a strict diet it follows at all times or else it refuses to eat anything else. According to the researchers, the Arctozolt has not eaten any food for the past few days due its favorite meal not being available for it due to the researchers not being equipped to explore the dangerous of Giant Chasm to restock. Luckily for Airi, she has at least made one visit to the Giant Chasm, and she has a clear understanding of the dangers that awaits her inside. Her mind starts to drift off to the last time she explored the frosted area and rescued her Cetitan from being devoured by a sleuth of Beartic.

Her deep thoughts are soon interrupted at the sound of the Arctozolt's cry, the Electric/Ice-type becoming slightly impatient with waiting outside of the entrance. "You are hungry, I understand. I promise, we will be able to go inside in a few more minutes," she explains, giving the Arctozolt a gentle pat on its head. It was told to her that she will be pairing up with another Ranger. However, she does not even have the name of another Ranger, who is supposed to be assisting her with this task. She does hope that whoever it is will arrive soon enough or else she will be tempted to complete the mission on her own.

She summons her Rotom Phone, swiping through her photos until she finds a picture of the mysterious plant that Arctozolt seems to love eating. The Pokémon lets out a cheerful cry as its eyes make contact with the picture, too. A couple of soft giggles escapes from Airi's lips as she glances away from the device and shifts her attention towards the Arctozolt. "This is it, huh?" She asks it. Arctozolt nods its head before making an attempt to lick her Rotom Phone's screen. The smart phone lets out a surprised screen before zooming out of the way of the ancient creature's tongue. Airi giggles and shakes her head at the sight taking place in front of her.
