He's still working through his theories, almost forgetting Freya as he turns back to the screens. Deftly, he's been plucking and picking up notes and papers, bits and bobbles as he figured out what to sacrifice. After all, he didn't have a lot left aon his upload, and he's sure Freya would destroy all his equipment. If not now, afterwards when she or her other leaguer companions figured out the system bricked itself. [break][break]

Neon's casual, too casual. He carried the air of nonchalance well despite his storied history with hand to hand. But by now, jayden cross and THEO BECKETT would be proud with how far he's come. He just...doesn't want to fight right now. He'd much rather siphon what he could from Freya. Not like she wasn't doing the same. [break][break]

But she doesn't respond, closing herself off from the conversation and letting him talk. He knows that look. The eye of a hunter. It's the same focused glint Cacio got when he stalked through the battlefield. The mood had shifted, and he had overstayed his welcome. As his computer's finalized their info dump, a barrage of flames surged forward, sky rocketing the temperature of the room in an instant. [break][break]

His Goomy ,ever cautious yelps and rolls backwards into his Baxcalibur's giant paws. The shine of a PROTECT bubbling around the trio. Tiramisu doesn't stay still however, lunging forward and slamming his claws down in a sudden AERIAL ACE to push the woman back. The fire licks the surroundings. Cables melt and copper wire is easily exposed. Old paper and maps and tomes burst into flames in an instant. Thousands of dollars in computer equipment whine until it pops or crackles as power drops. "You really are just an aipom wearing silks." Neon comments as the power to his screens goes out and he looks at the Councilwoman. He tucks the tome into a psychic bubble of his own, taking it just to piss off the woman at this point. [break][break]

"The Draconids deserve to die out. Hope you memorized whatever was in these." She'd come crying for that data later. The fans in his helmet kick on as the heat rises. Gonzalez and Tiramisu are uncomfortable, but they're ready to push out Freya. Neon gets up. "I'll see myself out." he said, lifting a palm and making a shooing motion once with his hand. Psychic power gathered like an invisible wave pulsing out of that simple flick of a wrist as he intended to shove Freya further back after his Baxaclibur's attack.

her flames meet a barrier, but she'd been expecting it. goomy aren't combative dragons and her own are used for the same purpose. but so too does she know what happens when dragonfire meets the barrier - smoke plumes, stinging her eyes, gracing her throat with a welcome burn.

"that's where you're wrong," she snarls with a laugh. her bones ache with protest, but lyune bolsters with determination behind her. cracks spiderweb around the doorway as he shoves his massive neck through the threshold.

practiced hands reach for the scabbard at her hip and the baxcalibur's aerial ace clangs against steel. sparks shower over her as she turns her wrist, shoving aside with all of her strength to follow the momentum of the leaping dragon. its attacks are powerful, but clumsy, and as soon as she's past it, she rights the blade and -

is thrown back by a powerful wave of telekinetic energy. she manages to hold onto her sword, but only just barely, as her back slams painfully into lyune's snout.

her dragon snarls and freya squares her shoulders, eyes narrowed.

"i don't think so. this is the only way out, asshole, and lyune? docar." flames pour in a brilliant white glow from his maw. magma dribbles down his teeth and with the room enclosed, the heat rises to an unbearable intensity. her sygna suit flickers, glowing as the metal heats, but she only grins.

freya now possesses draconic resilience, which grants resistance to elemental damage (fire, lightning, cold).

golden scales gleam beneath her skin.

He watches the old dragon shove its way through the door, staring as he eyed the massive dragon. As much as he didn't want to be at the business end of Lyune's flames, he was already sizing it up for escape. Powerful, yes, but no doubt clumsy. If he had to brute force his way out he gladly would. To hell with whatever Draconid memorabilia was left. At least when he'd come to study it, he took pains to keep most of it intact. [break][break]

Tiramisu snarls, claws sliding off steel as it is fluidly redirected towards the other dragon. He follows Freya and Lyune ready to aim a BREAKING SWIPE only to stop and snarl in pain feeling the flames wash over him. Amidst the roars of pairs and the crackle of fire, the heat rises in the study. He can feel it in his suit as it takes pains to combat the sudden heat wave. Even as his tech works its best to stabilize, it's not like he's fitted for DESOLATE LAND right now. He'd hit his cooling limits soon enough. The fans in the back of his helmet kick in, whirring in protest. "Haa?! Think you're gonna corner me?!" he asked, raising his voice in defiance. [break][break]

"Golf, help your brother out!" he ordered as the old wood desk lifted and haphazardly tossed to the side. If Freya would not respect her own home, then he had less of a reason to either. His heart didn't bleed as readily for old history as howard slayte's did. And anything of particular interest he'd already touched. Fuck this place. The wood splinters with the force of his toss and his vestigial wings flare up in irritation as his Goomy jumps into his arms only to be promptly fast balled specialized to the front of the fight. [break][break]

Gonzalez, the timid dragon that he still was, opened his mouth in a scream that gurgled into silence as he summoned a crashing MUDDY WATER to flush the sync pair out. Seeing her blade, Neon goes for his dagger and rushes forward diving head first after his pokemon and trying to get to Freya before she tries stabbing his pokemon.

they'll move quickly now because they have to. anticipation and adrenaline shudder through her. she shuts off her heart and does not flinch when theodore's desk goes flying away from the rocket avatar. decades-old oiled wood splinters. the circular stains from his mugs (because no matter how many times sophia chided him on using coasters, he never listened), the scratch makes from teething dratini, a history, a past, all of it broken in an instant.

water gurgles towards her and mud sloughs down her front. mucky steam makes her cough violently and lyune snaps his jaws, quenching his flame as the gooey ball of a dragon slams into him. he does not give ground.

not until steel clangs against steel. her sword meets his dagger, but she's at a disadvantage with her longer blade in close quarters. "zexenuma," she hisses when lyune shifts, but the gargantuan dragon refuses to be reduced to an armored wall. he steps back from the doorway. fresh air rushes in, but his massive head lingers and he snarls as he snaps hatefully at the person who had attacked his mistress.

As the Goomy ducks somewhere, trying to slip past the larger creatures in this fight, Tiramisu looms over Neon, punching forward agianst the old dragon's snout with a BREAKING SWIPE to push it back further as they charged their way out. Ripples of pale pink crystal coalesce on the dragons massive shoulders as he began to TERASTLAIZE to shield himself from the beast. [break][break]

Neon comes to blows with the draconid, helmet nearly bashing into her own head. He somehow stands off against the woman despite the mud and the steam and the dying embers. As she glares at him, he snarls back holding her gaze as he tried to push her back with just a dagger. And then all of a sudden, he eases off her sword and hooks his leg around hers, pulling once more and shoving the woman back. [break][break]

One hand on his knife, the other darts forward, finger looking to interweave themselves in long strands of singed gold. He's ready to end this more annoyed he'd been cornered into a fight than anything else. Neon had already made peace with the thought of losing all his equipment here.
