[break][break] she never claimed not to be, but this was a new low. she had tripped on absolutely nothing. she'd just been walking right off the ship into this new town, eager to get to the pokemon center or somehow figure out her new lodgings, when she's tripped...! and then some shady guys in masks had come out of the bushes — what the heck was wrong with hoenn and why were there people hiding in bushes?? — and laughed at her, and then grabbed her wallet.

[break][break] luckily, she'd tucked her phone away so they hadn't been able to get to it but. still.

[break][break] "mittens, think you could get some help?" she said, wincing, as she stared at the litten that sat across from her, basking in a spot of sunlight. "my ankle really hurts..."

Wandering doctor that he was, Ben had finally returned to work in the wake of his ejection from Petalburg. While staying in Oldale with elijah gardner was fine… he missed his cottage. He mourned the loss of his well-established routines.[break][break]
But at least Littleroot wasn’t as plagued as other towns on this side of the region.[break][break]

Hiking up his bag, Benji continued his trek toward the local pokecenter to check in with their head medic. Extra hands were never a bad thing, after all. Alongside him, his bellossom reached up to tug at his jacket sleeve. “Hm? What is it?” Marnie’s soft coo directed him toward a panicked little trotting toward them.[break][break]
The litten looked pitiful all by its lonesome, but as soon as it locked eyes with him and he started to stoop down, it mewed loudly and took off down a side street.[break][break]
“Hey—wait!” It seemed he had no choice but to take off after it---and it was a good thing he did.[break][break]
His eyes rounded as he stared down at the girl on the ground who came into view. The little paced anxiously beside her.[break][break]

The Litten simply blinks at her, as if Lottie had not just asked it to go ask for some help.

[break][break] Luckily, a rescue came in the version of a handsome young man and his even cuter Bellossom.

[break][break] She stared up at him and his pale, golden eyes — the color of a rising sun.

[break][break] "Oh gosh! My hero. No, I'm not okay." She groaned, pulling out her ankle from underneath her. "I tripped. I think - I sprained something. Or broke something. Ugh. Do you think you can get me a doctor?"
