It almost seems like something that would never quite lose its relevance, something that is attempted ever-again, probably even more-so in the war times that they find themself in. Chaos breeds even more chaos, and to survive such a thing, vital supplies such as food and ingredients for such are of utmost importance. It feels like the times that Islwyn hears of ranchers and farmers struggling to keep up with the relentless attacks on their livestock and fields are endless, and she is certain to lend a hand as she can.[break]

Fortunately, it seems like she isn't the only one who has volunteered on the route she calls home, giving a friendly nod towards the other as she brings out her most battle-sturdy Pokémon, Blodeuwedd the Eldegoss and Branwen the Fomantis. Though the latter is quite a young one, there is a fierceness in her eyes that make her confident that she'll do just fine. "Islwyn Pryce is my name - feel free to call me Izzy, if you'd like, and thanks for helping with the attacks. Shall we head out to confront the problem at its roots?" Of course, it would only weed out one of such things, but ... well. One is certainly better than none.

Usagi had been passing by on her way across the Route for a nature walk when the farmer present had encouraged her to help out with a little problem they had been having. The thought of really fighting off predators was a concept that the woman hadn't really prepared for. She barely knew how to order one of her Pokemon to attack something, let along protect! Usagi didn't want to let the poor man down though. So she gathered what little confidence she had and fully agreed to assist in the matter. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad?... [break][break]

She stood beside another woman who had also agreed to help, a blonde haired woman who seemed a tad bit older than her. Her Pokemon look well ready for the task ahead in spades. Usagi looked over at her team in comparison: The Milcery had fled behind her frost splattered apron the moment when called out and the Corvisquire hovered in place but appeared anxious. It was only the Lopunny that looked anywhere near confident in its abilities. "Ah-I'm sure that everything will be alright, Sherbert! You don't have to fight if you don't want to." Her head craned over to the other woman as she introduced herself. [break][break]

"It's wonderful to meet you, Izzy! My name is Usagi." Usagi greeted her with a warm, sing-songy tone, "I apologize that I'm not really experienced with Pokemon battles, but I'll do my best to help out! Right you two!" The Lopunny and Corvisquire let out the answers in agreement, though the Milcery continued to hide away from Iswyn.[break][break]

Islwyn is quick to offer a comforting smile to the other, shaking her head a little as she speaks, "it's no trouble at all - in fact, any helping hand is welcome as there is strength in numbers, too." And, as she is looking at the Milcery that seems quite unwilling to fight, "and only really if you and your Pokémon are willing. As you said, there will be no need for your Milcery to join the fighting if they would rather not. I have a few of my own that won't be joining, in fact." She hoped that the fact that not her whole team is as battle-hardy as those two are would help - as the Applin literally is unable to do much in a fight, unless he would eventually find its way to evolve into a stronger form of himself.[break]

Fortunately, the Pokémon hunters and thieves they are targetting don't seem to be the most high-class ones, or so the forest ranger concludes after seeing the masses of traces that they have left behind. It makes easy to follow them throughout the back parts of the farm as she gently gestures Usagi to follow her - and hopefully, they might be even able to capture them as they are on the run with the three Wooloos they have taken from the meadows. "Let's follow their traces and see where they lead to, and do let me know if you find anything that seems unordinary!"

"That's a relief! See, sweetie? You'll be safer with me anyway. We'll let the other two get the job down. But you can offer moral support!" The timid looking fairy-type gaze a puzzled look at the Lopunny and Corvisquire at the mention of such things. Maybe it was changing its mind about not fighting, although it was much too delicate and not used to fighting to be of any use. The Milcery let out a soft cry before nodding at its fellow Pokemon on the team with a determined nod. Caramel smiled and gave a gentle nod while Percival tweeted along, readying himself for the task at hand. "That's the spirit! Now let's track down some thieves!" [break][break]

It was at times like these that Usagi had wished she could get her hands on a canine or some type of Pokemon that could track things easily. The Lopunny wasn't exactly experienced with seeing which way the wind could blow. The Corvisquire was in the same boat, and Usagi was fairly certain that Milcery didn't have noses. So Caramel would have to lead the charge here. It took the Lopunny a while to really get them anywhere of note while the other people alongside them continued to search for something until a breakthrough was found. [break][break]

Caramel let out a chirp to notify the others about her find. "Oh? What did you find, bunbun?" She pointed to a large track, one belonging to a Pokemon that clearly wasn't at home in a field such as this. Usagi observed the footprint with curiosity, with her turning to the other woman. "I don't think I recognize a footprint like this. Whatever it is, by the size alone, I don't think it's something native. We may be getting close." [break][break]

The interaction, although the situation proves itself to be rather dire, is a sweet one to observe, making the forest ranger smile gently upon the four of them. Teamwork is pretty crucial in most scenarios, after all, and coordinating attacks belongs to it just as much as knowing each other's strengths and weaknesses, the limits that each imposes on themself and whether or not one would be willing to push past such things, ready to embark on the next journey. Islwyn, for once ... well. She does favour the peace of the status quo, sometimes maybe a little too much.[break]

Though Eldegoss can cover a huge view from the ground, it's difficult to detect the finer details on earth that way, though a certain scent enables her to navigate alongside the Lopunny, clumsy as they may be, towards something that looks like a solid clue. A large footprint ... "It definitely does not belong to the forest," Islwyn is quick to agree with the other, racking her brain over where she saw something similar like this ... "I think the thieves are using Krookodiles - three, perhaps, from what I can tell," she eventually remarks after a few more detections, glancing over the variety of footprints that exist. It seems ... doable enough, and they should have some type advantages at least if the thieves have nothing else to show.[break]

"Shall we confront them head-on, or do you feel more comfortable with a stealthy approach?" she asks, wanting to ensure that Usagi would be fine with the plan they are doing as they proceed to further approach the gang of no-goods.
