A storm had began to gather just outside of the jail, though Aqua didn't pay it any heed. It was just another reminder of the foul mood they had found themselves in. But it wasn't until that some of the League officials had been barking about the SHADOW MIASMA that they knew something was wrong. Their head perked up just as the build was hit with sudden, powerful gusts of wind that caused the very foundation to creak in pain. "What's going on?" they asked themselves, just as the bars behind them would sudden be yanked off just in time to meet with a certain Dhelmise.[break[break]

"Eurydice?!" Aqua asked, astonished that the rather aggressive looking anchor was here, of all places. The fact it was really her was confirmed once Cilian had shouted out orders to all Rockets held inside of the jail quarters. Their eyes widened in shock, but quickly gave way to some quick thinking. This was a jail break, and they only had so much time before reinforcements would come. The Dhelmise turned to move away as Aqua escaped out of the hole of warped metal and rubar. "Thanks. I owe you one." Maybe the Pokémon understood him or really even cared about the Rocket, but Aqua hoped it did. For now, they had people to break out.[break][break]

Hanging up on a wall would be everyone's Pokeballs, separated from their trainers in some clear plastic tub. Aqua grabbed the tub and dug through it, fetching their Pokémon from it before throwing out Icey. The water-type appeared before Aqua and quickly went to nuzzle her head against his, the Rocket doing the same, though somewhat held back by pain. "I'm okay, but right now, we need to bust everyone out." The two went on their merry way towards the cells again with the tub of Pokemon in hand.[break][break]

Icey reached one cell door and fired off an ICE BEAM at the metal bars, turning them into hardened ice after a continuous stream of ice. Once it was weakened enough, the Lapras slammed through the bars and created a hole for the imprisoned Rocket grunts to make their way out of. "We're busting you out of here! get your Pokemon and make your way to the Underboss!" Hands dipped inside of the box and collected what was theirs, time and time again. Aqua continued this while following the booming voice of Cilian, with a small force of Rockets behind them.

Aqua somehow managed to catch up with Cilian has he had finished up the job of breaking out as many Rockets as they could before their time was up. Through the crowds of Rocket members of all ranks, a gap emerged in the sea of bodies racing around. They looked up just in time to catch a glimpse of the man they had spoken to before back when they had been caught tampering with the pool pumps. Somehow, that look they were given felt far worse than being on the receiving end of a POISON JAB and DISABLE combo. There's no words between them, but somehow, Cilian's disappointment couldn't have been more visible. [break][break]

"Right behind you." Aqua stammered out once the Underboss gave his orders to follow. His meager team wasn't well equipped to be teleporting out anytime soon, and so he followed Cilian into the tear in reality resting in front of him.[break][break]

Aqua came out elsewhere, back in Petalburg and safely on top of an apartment building. A dark shape appeared on the horizon while they approached, doing their best to think of an excuse to get them out of this little fuck up. After a while of rearranging the thoughts in their head, Aqua spoke. [break][break]

"Thank you for the rescue. I was coming back from a mission when my squad got flanked and I fled to get back to base. I was intercepted by Rangers, one of them was Josh Devlin ." [break][break]

Hopefully that was enough to get their head off the chopping block.

The air around them is heavy with strife, with Cilian's disappointment weighing almost as heavy as the owner of the wings across the horizon. For a moment, Aqua was reminded of their initial fear of the man and the reason he was likely regarded so highly in Rocket. They tried to speak but nothing came out at first. Only a grunt of hesitation. [break][break]

Nothing could really excuse themselves for getting captured so easily. [break][break]

"We were doing recon on a League encampment when there was a chance to gain intelligence on their group’s movements. I took a chance and swiped a hard drive with maps, rosters, everything and returned back to the group. We were ready to leave when they found us and tried to border us in. I wanted to stay, but my group leader told me to run back and to not lose the intel." [break][break]

Aqua said nothing, though knew exactly what might have been coming. Abandoning their comrades for a mistake that they had made for themselves. [break][break]

"I fucked up, I know." [break][break]

"Sure doesn't feel different. If I had stayed, we maybe could have escaped..." [break][break]

Reliving the past wasn't exactly something that Aqua had wanted to do, although in the wake of being with Cillian, they didn't have much of a choice. Coming back empty handed from such a risky move was a death sentence in Rocket, or so they thought. The grunt didn't answer for a second, recalling their meeting with the two other rangers. Josh Devlin was somebody whose reputation proceeded him, but that other woman, the one who had lacked any kind of morality, was unknown to them. That way she just pushed a direct attack out of her way was mysterious as well. Could she have been an avatar or something? [break][break]

Come to think of it, she very well could have been a Rocket mole. [break][break]

"Josh Devlin, like I said, but there was another ranger there. A woman with dark hair and red eyes. Devlin was trying to keep her from killing me, but she was...weird. One of his pokemon tried to attack her and she just waved a hand to push its attack out of the way. I didn't get a full name, but he called her Robin." [break][break]
