Thunder rumbled in the distant background, the sign that the storm was moving on. The smell of fresh rain and damp ground enveloped her while the moon attempted to play peak-a-boo through the thick clouds. Standing near the fallen rubble of buildings on the cliffside, Sarai overlooked the ocean in silence.

[break][break] She hadn't been in this region for long, and while she'd heard news about the destruction and chaos ensuing in the region, she hadn't anticipated it would be quite this bad. She'd sent a post card to a long term friend, CASPIAN LEVESQUE, that she had met during her travels abroad.

[break][break] She usually kept him up to date with her discoveries and the different places she'd visited, this time was no different. However, the place on the postcard, where she was standing at this very moment, no longer looked like what was depicted on that laminated card.

[break][break] Chilling evening wind nipped at her shoulders that were somewhat exposed by the sheer lace of her clothes. When she'd arrived and made contact the rocket officer she was reporting to, it was clear it was 'all hands on deck'. Getting a look at everything herself now, she could understand why, they needed help.

[break][break] So it was no surprise to her that one of the first tings that they assigned her was to go out and tend to the people and search for those that needed help. Not that she minded, this was what she'd come here for anyway. It was just more jarring to see in person than just hear about it on the radio or read in the newspaper.

[break][break] For a brief moment, the moon seemed to finally break through the clouds and illuminate the patch of earth she stood on as if gracing her with it's best for it's triumphant victory. She paused for a moment before a soft smile tugged at the corners of her lips. She gently clasped her gloved hands together and bowed her head in prayer.

[break][break] "Let your light shine on this city like the moon in a starlit sky and let your truth be revealed through the rubbles of despair. Equip the righteous with tools to bring forth your judgement...amen."

rocky stones tumble under heel as CASPIAN LEVESQUE make his way through the rubbled remains of SOOTOPOLIS CITY. according to BARNABY FINCH , this area had once been a city of grandeur. of beauty. of bliss.

[break][break] though it was hard to believe it now, what with the way that the city seemed to be bleeding from a puncture-wound deep within it's center. a KYOGRE that rested deep within one of it's crystallized caves.

[break][break] "my word, is that Sarai Dominguez ?" the man blinked, pausing, as he spotted a familiar figure a few feet off. the magenta glow of his braixen's wand, as it utilized a PSYCHIC to keep the dewdrops off it's trainers form, cast a subtle glow around his figure as the man stepped between the rocks to greet what appeared to be an old friend. "what god must i have blessed to see you here with me."

[break][break] wind whipped at his cap as he looked towards her, smile tucked into the corner of his mouth like a secret kept.

[break][break] "what brings you here, lady dominguez?"

[break][break] as if it wasn't something he'd planned to begin with.

A light mist of raindrops began to fall softly on the evangelist as she finished her prayer. It was as if the heaven's themselves cried out in response to her earnest prayers. Sarai lingered near the cliffside a little longer as she basked in the ambiance of the night. Despite the sheer catastrophic levels of destruction around her, there was something mysterious and serene about tonight.

[break][break] That's when she sensed a presence even before they spoke. The shuffling of rocks as the figure approached confirmed her suspicions moments later. Yet she remained overlooking the cliffside, her back to her newest arrival. The moment he addresses her she finally turns to glance back at him.

[break][break] The moon continue to serves as a spotlight of sorts as it bathes her in it's illuminating glow. Sarai's gaze is soft and kind as she looks at her long time friend, CASPIAN LEVESQUE. As graceful as ever, a gloved hand is raised to rest against her chest as she slightly bows in greeting. "May the flames of truth guide you." she smiled. "It's so nice to see you again, Caspian."

[break][break] As he continues to close the distance between them, she finally turns to fully face him and give him her undivided attention. The moon serves as a halo behind as if to further showcase her devotion to divinity. His honied words coaxed a broader smile from her as she clasped her gloved hands in front of her.

[break][break] "Then you have Reshiram to thank. I always aim to seek his will." she answered typically. The wind whipped up in that moment. The smell of her blue jasmine perfume melted with the scent of the ocean nearby and carried on the wind. As he asked what brought her here, she extends a hand towards him for Cas to assist her with closing the distance between them. After all, the terrain was rocky and difficult to maneuver.

[break][break] "New employment." she says with a mysterious smirk playing on her lips. "It would seem I'll be here in your care for a while." Sarai flashed a knowing glance to Caspian but said no more. She'd learned about his residency here only after she'd made it here herself. Still, it was always curious how they managed to run into another so consistently like this.

[break][break] "What about you?" She said with a slight tilt of her head. "When were you planning to tell me what you were up to?" After all, they always seemed to keep one another up to date with their comings and goings.
