the shadow chamber doors come apart at the seams. a clean cut renders the steel useless, diced into two triangular pieces as they land with a tremendous thud. multiple technicians approach with caution, wary from the pokemon’s highly altered appearance. with the way the swords glean in the darkness, they know to keep their distance, readying their pokeballs to defend against the pokemon’s inauguration. [break][break]

several pokemon come forward to restrain the levitating spirit. however, the moment they make contact, they feel their spirit drain. morale declines further when none of their attacks can dent the aegislash’s mighty bulwark. the KING’S SHIELD hold strong but it shouldn’t be able to restrain so many of them. and, in misjudgment, there is punishment. [break][break]

aegislash is said to be able to detect the innate qualities of leadship; legend has it that whoever it recognizes as a worthy leader is destined to become king. but who is it to say that that individual must be human. tainted by the powers that be, the aegislash is reborn anew, given an unearthly clarity on who deserves to rule above all else. [break][break]

struggle is the burden of the unfit. laid out, held in place by a shield’s divine right, the shadow aegislash bestows its judgement. a pair of blades rain their judgement onto those that oppose it, skewering them as retribution for their treason. the blood red cloth that entangles both blades flails with a newborn zeal. the pokemon has become more aggressive and violent.
they will no longer be able to MEGA EVOLVE or use Z-MOVES.
aegislash now triggers STANCE CHANGE on demand instead of conventional means. it sustains damage every time it triggers. triggering STANCE CHANGE does not count as your action when applicable (raid posts).
while in BLADE FORM, none of Shadow Aegislash's attacks can be MITIGATED or RESISTED. it will always strike for at least neutral damage. this includes scenarios where the attack will not do damage due to typing (ex. fighting vs ghost). stat changes have no negative effect on Shadow Aegislash's ATTACK or SPECIAL ATTACK such as an enemy's IRON DEFENSE or INTIMIDATE.
while in SHIELD FORM, landing an attack on Shadow Aegislash will reduce the opponent's ATTACK and SPECIAL ATTACK. this effect does not stack on the same target. for stat-based events, the opponent will only sustain -1 to both stats.
while in SHIELD FORM, BLOCKING a PHYSICAL ATTACK causes the enemy to sustain a fraction of their attack's damage. BLOCKING constitutes using a DEFENSIVE MOVE or taking an attack directed a different pokemon / character.
