a familiar rumble signifies that the shadowfication process is complete. when the doors open, the rocket technician stares into a dark nothingness. dumbfounded at the lack of presence, they call the experiment a failure, giving off a hand gesture to close it back up. only when the doors start to grate do they hear the soft sound of foot steps. from the depth of the chamber comes the ariados, phasing back into visibility as the CAMOUFLAGE fades. at first, that seems to be the pokemon's only ability. however, the scientist's curiosity extends well beyond. the new purple discoloration showcases the potency of its venom. those infected don't suffer from the same nausea commonplace in toxins. instead, they feel light headed, given a mild high that leaves them dazed and confused. added with the pokemon's strange knack for finding things, this shadow pokemon's deemed one of the best in terms of infiltration and tailing.[break][break]

the pokemon has become more aggressive and violent.
they will no longer be able to MEGA EVOLVE or use Z-MOVES.
ariados has unlocked an event move: CAMOUFLAGE. this is an exclusive 7th move that cannot be replaced.
ariados can tag others and items with its webbing. for up to 24 hours, ariados can track its webbing with thermal vision. making physical contact will automatically tag a target.
ariados now has an additional ability SHADOW VENOM; inflicting the POISONED status will also cause the target to become CONFUSED.
