A small fox against a towering tortoise, he knew for a fact that his, as of yet, weak alolan vulpix stood no chance. But perhaps later on, should it grow and learn for its own sake, it would've had it by the bag.

"CONFUSE RAY" Lucas commanded as the FLASH CANNON approached. Before getting hit, the vulpix was able to great a dazzling flash of light, hopefully confusing its opponent. One last chance. The vulpix was hit with the FLASH CANNON, struggling to keep itself upright, it remained resolute.

The vulpix's eyes would then glow a bright purple hue, sending a HEX towards its opponent.

blastoise is blinded by the CONFUSE RAY that gets thrown it's way. the whole world goes spinning and the pokemon can barely navigate the sudden change in positioning. it leaves it dizzy, prone to mistakes, easily setting the pokemon up to hurt itself in confusion. "don't do anything," fernando orders. he won't allow it to trip up now. "stay your ground and WATER PULSE."

blastoise is in no position to defend. the HEX hits and it hits hard. blastoise staggers back from the impact but like vulpix remains resolute. they're in a game of attrition now and whoever can last blow for blow will emerge as the victor. without taking another step, blastoise begins to spew out water in a rhythmic burst, waves of WATER PULSE emerging from its body as it looks to crash into anything around it. unfortunately, this means vulpix.
