As he quietly searches the grassy area down below, he spots a stray Malamar wandering about. Slightly bewildered by its presence and the lack of water nearby, Pierce casually shrugs his shoulder and points over to it with a wide grin. He glances back at the Lucario beside him who seems just as confused as he is, but upon seeing her trainer point it out, she lets out a gruff bark, taking a fighting stance.

”Right then, let’s get started shall we? Soleil, use Meteor Mash!”

The Lucario leaps down from the ledge and dashes towards the giant squid. Swinging its arms back, it lunges itself forward, smashing into it with its palms – quickly unleashing a barrage of attacks. The Malamar recoils back in pain its eyes glaring malevolently at the Lucario. It pulls its tendrils back and sharply lets loose a Psycho Cut using its tendrils as its blade, but the Lucario quickly Detects the attack, nimbly evading it by jumping back.

”Aura Sphere!” he commands with a snap of his finger. Cupping its paws together, Soleil unleashes a blueish energy sphere that slams straight into the Malamar’s body. Unable to take the pain, the squid slumps over unconscious.

”Nice!” he exclaims, throwing a hand up as he runs over to the Lucario. Seeing the gesture, the Lucario quickly touches his hand with her palm, giving him a proper high five in the process. Showing little interest in catching the squid, he looks around again to see if there’s another Pokemon that might catch his interest.

He spots a plant-like pokemon walking trudging about in the distance. Patting Soleil on the back, he points over to it, drawing her attention onto the Exeggutor. She looks back to her trainer with a slightly worried expression, but that turns to reassurance upon seeing his confident grin.

”Right, it’ll be a tough one,” he openly admits ”but don’tcha worry Soleil, you’ve got this! Let’s get things started with a Swords Dance!”

Nodding, the Lucario quickly performs a small Kata before leaping out towards the tree with Pierce following closely behind. Its figure blurs as it quickly zips over, slamming straight into the large tree with a fierce Quick Attack. He pumps his fist downwards seeing this, nearly blurting out in the process, but manages to contain it as the fight isn’t over just yet.

The Exeggutor, now alarmed by the sudden attack, turns one of its heads towards the bipedal canine swinging its massive head towards it in a swiping position. Soleil nimbly moves its body back to avoid the attack, rolling to the side in the process. ”Alright Soleil, just keep calm. Meteor Mash!”

It barks upon receiving its order and unleashes another mighty barrage with its paws and legs, striking the tree numerous times causing it to recoil back onto one foot. Seeing this, Pierce quickly pulls out a Pokeball and tosses it outwards, striking it straight on the center head.
