Alec was hoping that Veda's and Rex's attack combo would work, however the Grovyle's speed and detection was flawless, dodging both of their attacks perfectly! "I must admit, that's some handy foot work your Grovyle has! But ... lets see how your Croconaw fairs," and after hearing Alec's words, Veda had already chose her target. In order for it to work though, Rex's defense would be needed for this to be pulled off. "Protect Rex!" Alec shouted, which the flying Dragon complied, summoning another barrier, easily protecting him from the Croconaw's Icy Fangs. Then Veda had used ExtremeSpeed to now attack the Croconaw, whose fangs had not met their mark, being swatted away by the weakened Dragonite.[break][break]

Alec had then noticed that the Sandaconda disappeared, which could have only meant one thing. It dug itself under the floor! It was then that Alec had feeling on who it's target was, being his Turtonator, Meatball. [break][break]

"Meatball! Shell Trap, now!" The young Gym Leader shouted towards his Turtonator as soon as the Sandaconda had appeared from the ground. The turtonator had quickly turned it shell facing the Sandaconda, and as soon as the the attack had connected to the Dragon's Shell and Spikes, it's shell ignited, quickly letting off an explosion which had most likely hurt the Sandaconda, having been caught of guard. The Turtanator had been also injured but due to his Shell Armor, him taking any severe damage would be extremely hard to pull off. That was one reason why Alec had chosen Turtonator for this battle. Then again, his defense, normally comes in handy in any given situation. [break][break]

Shortly after the explosion from Turtonator's shell had exploded, Veda had fallen to the ground. She had tried to get up, however the Sandstorm had continued to prove to be hard on even his Dragon Pokemon. However, despite that, Alec felt that winning the battle was still possible. Sure, his Pokemon were affected by the raging sands, but Kaida's Croconaw and Grovyle were also succumbing to the Sandstorm as well. That was why Alec had been using the sands to his advantage as well with each attack that would connect. Alec had swiftly returned Veda to her Poke Ball with a soft smile and said, Three Pokemon Left. Now, time to make this match more harder! Time to come out Creeper!" he said, revealing his final Pokemon he'd use for this battle. It was a Dragapult, which hissed, letting out a small eerie shriek at Kaida's Pokemon, eye all three of them.[break][break]

Hel snarled viciously as Jotun was swatted away, pinprick pupils locking on the Salamance that had broken the croc's fangs. "Hel. Ignore. Now. The floaty prey. Do it." The Grovyle, who seemed on the verge of pouncing, suddenly obeyed. Kaida's own "strategy" was becoming clear. Moves, attacks, how they attacked, how they moved. That was all trusted to her Pokemon. But positioning, targets, what to do? Her word might as well be law regarding those few decisions. She was their eyes and brain, the leader, their survival counted on it. [break][break]

Remembering this, Hel darted to the newcomer, claws extending with a buzz. Her attacks may not be too effective on this prey, but Kaida directed her here. That meant she'd do the most damage here! Her slashing X-scissors left an afterimage X, and she kept running afterwards, hoping to avoid any upcoming attacks. [break][break]

Meanwhile, Jotun was finding the air was a lot heavier than he remembered. When was it this hard to get up? Claws pushing at the ground, standing was suddenly a huge issue. Kaida knew why. He wasn't the likes of Kjoll, or even Ormr. The Sandstorm drained his water skin, and he was young, his endurance wouldn't hold up. Hel neither. Yet Kaida said nothing, giving him all the orders he needed. Persist. Even just a little longer. So he lashed out, running once more to bite his aching Ice Fang into the Salamance's flank. He could tell, this would likely be his final attack, he only hoped he'd get to bite one thing! [break][break]

Silk cried out as the explosion counter suddenly threw him away, rolling out on the ground as the Sandstorm heightened, spurred on by his Sand Spit. That hurt. That hurt! Having become good at avoiding damage, the waves of pain that ran up his scorched head and neck distressed the young serpent. He gazed back at Kaida, teardrop eyes suddenly bright and pleading. He had to do this, and show how much she could trust him! Like Ormr! They'd been together like family this whole time, and he was finally big enough to protect her himself! He couldn't lose to fire! A snarl broke the Sandaconda's near silence, who reared up as if to square up with the dragon. He charged, bringing his head down to combat the explosion, again, again, however many times it took! [break][break]

And in Kaida's pocket, an unknown power started to stir to the Sandaconda's heart.

Alec had smirked when Kaida's Grovyle had decided to attack his Dragapult - a mistake she would come to find out soon enough. "Creeper! Phantom Force! Alec had called out, and with that, the ghost-like Dragon had vanished just before the attack had connected. The Dragapult would fade back into existence right behind the Grovyle, going for a strike. What was so special about Alec's Dragapult though wasn't his strength, but his ability to Infiltrate an enemy's flanks without them even noticing. Even with Grovyle's great detection skills, Alec knew that it wouldn't be safe from Creeper's assault. [break][break]

As that was going on, the Croconaw had attempted strike Salamence with another Ice Fang, however, Salamence could dodge and counter as well. "Rex! Fly above and then counter!" Alec had shouted now to his second Pokemon. Rex let out a small snarl, quickly taking flight, moving out the way from the Croconaw's attack. He then quickly swung back around, tackling the Croconaw. Alec had a feeling that with Rex's attack that the Croconaw would be finished. As for the Sandaconda and Grovyle, Alec was not sure about them. However the Grovyle would more than likely meet the same fate as well. [break][break]

It was then that something surpising had happened, a glow from Kaida, which Alec had immediately recognized, and then as the Sandaconda had charged Alec's Turtonator, had mega evolved as it was rushing him. "Meatball! Shell Trap again!" Alec said quickly, not expecting the Sandaconda to mega evolve. The Turtonator had kept it's shell facing towards the mega evolved snake, only for it to meet the safe fate it had the previous time, however the attack from the Sandaconda was rather powerful, which would present a problem for Alec and his team if this battle were to be prolonged again any further. [break][break]

What...is happening? [break] [break]

Kaida couldn't even take notice of Hel and Jotun taking hits, Jotun falling and not getting up, Hel swaying as she slowly got up. No, her eyes were locked on the actual tornado that entered the scene. Silk exploded in rainbow light as he plunged forward, body suddenly coiling in on itself as he grew bigger. A red fog entered his eyes and swirled around his head, even as he was smacked away by the explosion, the sheer power he seemed to have didn't fade. A coil of sand swirled around him and he looked back at Kaida as she snatched out the glowing stone, "What the hell is this!?" Kaida yelled, as if the stone could explain. Her snake was nearly twice its size, and seemed to possess the capabilities of a tornado! [break][break]

Silk sniffed, rumbling to try and get her attention. What was wrong? The fight was still going on...right? The teardrop eyes were the same, even as he spat another gout of sand into the air. Silk...was Silk. "Hel. Help Silk." She ordered confusingly, and Hel nearly vanished from sight, moving to ram into the fire dragon. Whether by explosion or not, Hel immediately keeled over, collapsing onto the ground. [break][break]

Returning both fallen Pokemon, Kaida grasped the glowing stone and decided to put trust in her strange new Silk. "Silk...do your thing. Destroy them!" Darkness started to swirl around the tornado-like snake, spinning faster and faster before his long, long body lashed out. Brutal Swing lashed out at the Pokemon all around him. [break][break]

At a safe distance, Kaida released Nid. Before, she might have talked about Nid's evolution to Alec, the Dragonair wanting to meet the gym leader again, but not now. Even the Dragonair seemed unable to tell what was happening, speaking in fright at her new destructive teammate.

The young Gym Leader had decided a risk with what he was about to command his Pokemon to do, however he believed it was well-worth the risk, rather than take more damage. "Rex! Meatball! Protect now! Alec commanded both of them. The Turtonator and the Salamence were able to quickly create a barrier protecting themselves from the onslaught. Creeper, the Dragapult had used Phantom Force to vanish before the Sandaconda's Brutal Swing could hit, only to reappear near the mega-evolved Pokemon, strike it with swipe of it's own. [break][break]

Just as that had happened, he had seen both Kaida's Grovyle as well as his own Turtonator fall to the ground, both being succumbed to the raging sandstorm that still threatened his two remaining Pokemon. Alec knew though that dealing with her Mega-Evolved pokemon was top priority and from the looks of it, it would seem that Kaida had no idea on how her Pokemon had been able to achieve Mega-Evolution, which puzzled him, however it made the challenge all that more exciting for the young Gym Leader. [break][break]

With his Salamence, as well as his Dragapult remaining, as well as Kaida's two last Pokemon on the field as well that it do-or-die time. Despite the Mega Evolved Pokemon in front of him, he knew that it had taken quite a beating while being out in battle, and he had a feeling that he would be able to take it out before another one of his Pokemon would faint. It was only a matter of time until this battle was as good as over. Whoever would be the victor however was still far from decided. [break][break]

Silk nearly fell back, unbalanced by both his new mode of locomotion and the attack. Perhaps if he weren't a ground-type, the Sandstorm would have have defeated him, but the tearing storm was natural to him. Instead, he charged at the the dragon, taking advantage of the close-combat. The attack was nothing Kaida had seen from the serpent, the again, nothing it was doing was something she had seen before. Sand built around its head and body, and exploded outwards in a sandy blast tinged with red fog. Eyes swimming in exhaustion, Silk suddenly shrunk, his body breaking down back into a regular Sandaconda. Still, he lifted his head defiantly, hissing at his opponent. Seemed he didn't question his transformation, like the Sandstorm, it had felt natural.[break][break]

Nid had frozen, but snapped to attention at Kaida's voice, "H-help him, you're fighting, Nid! Up!" The Salamance was a scary opponent, intimidating in every way, but it was ironically a less frightening opponent than whatever had happened to Silk. The titular wings of the Dragonair unfolded, and she surged into the air. Her body spun and a blue tornado sped towards the dragon. High up, and lacking the sheer length of Silk, Nid found that she could only focus on one Pokemon, but she would make it count! Watch, as the little Dragonair clipped the wings of a Salamance!

As soon as the young Gym Leader had seen that the Sandaconda had returned back to it's regular state, shortly after it had attacked Creeper with a very peculiar move. It had reminded the young Gym Leader of his battle with Kazimir Wynter's Toxtricity. Galar Pokemon that had the ability to Mega Evolve seemed to have a special move of some sort, however with it now weakened, Alec knew that this battle was as good as his, and so did Creeper the Dragapult, for he took the opportunity to use his new move that he had gotten when he had evolved - Dragon Darts! The Dragapult had fired two Dreepy from it's head, one aiming at the Dragonair and one that had gunned for the weakened Sandaconda. Alec knew that if the Sandaconda were hit, it would be defeated. If Nid were hit by it, then it would suffer from super effective damage. [break][break]

Creeper's attack was good to use now at this moment, since not only was the Sandaconda weakened greatly, the Dragonair was preoccupied with Rex, who had taken damage from the Twister that was unleashed. however, he wasn't done, just yet. Before the Sandstorm would take him, he fired a Dragon Breath just at the same time as the Dreepy missle was about to strike it, taking twice the amount of damage. Alec had smirked, even though Rex had taken to the ground, showing signs that he was beat. He took the pokeball from his belt, returning Rex, knowing he'd be unable to battle, however Alec believed he had nothing to worry about at this moment. This battle would be over soon. Kaida considered her options as she looked upon the battlefield. Silk could not take another hit and in battle, she would rather her Pokemon outnumber this ghostly apparition than let one face it all alone. "Stop hunting! Dodge!" She roared over the din of battle, the first she had given a direct order, and her Pokemon moved to respond. [break] [break]

Silk's coils and body shrank in an instant, expelling all the sand that made up the Sandaconda's impressive size, throwing off aim as its body was suddenly much smaller. Twisting out of the way, Silk doggedly drew closer to the ghost dragon, as if daring it to attack his Minimized body. [break][break]

At the same moment, Nid's body swam with a psychic light, the abrupt speed at which she moved carrying her out if the way of the fired Dragon Dart. Her close proximity to the Salamance, however, ensured that the Dragon Breath washed over her body, a cloud of electricity briefly washing over her body. Drifting closer to the ground, she flapped frantically, trying to maintain her altitude, to keep the air occupied and ready to strike. [break][break]

"Back to hunting."

Creeper hissed at the fact his Dragon Darts had missed both of it's targets. He had two Pokemon to deal with still and he was the only one left on his team. He vanished again, using Phantom Force. Alec smirked, knowing full that Phantom Force could hit anything, and knowing Creeper, he would go after the most vulnerable target, which wasn't Kaida's Dragonair, but rather, her Sandaconda. Creeper had reappeared right from under the ground, surprise-attacking the Sandaconda, delivering a powerful blow. "Even though your Sandaconda had used Minimize, Creeper's Phantom Force can hit even the smallest of targets, even a minimized Pokemon," Alec had said to Kaida with a slight smirk on his face. [break][break]

"My Dragapult is one of my Toughest Dragons not because of his powerful attacks. It's because he can surely hit anything that he's fighting." Alec said. "Kaida, you may have thought that this battle may have gotten easier with me only having one Pokemon left, but, that's where you're wrong. Me having one Pokemon left is what makes this challenge all the more difficult," He stated, having a serious look in his eyes. "Your real test ... begins now!"[break][break]
