A rocket burglar back from the Kanto days. After their fall Oscar didn't stick around. He thought the entire organization's roster would be behind bars within the month, so he vamoosed it to his brother's villa in Alola. There he discovered his true calling: Archaeology. Or as a normal person would put it: looting. As he whittled away hours exploring the ruins and historic landmarks of the region, he found great pleasure in "excavating and extracting artifacts" and selling them to "parties interested in their educational value". He made himself a pretty fortune over the years, though it wasn't easy. [break][break]
Oscar faced a plethora of obstacles: from nosy environmentalists, to concerned historians, to even rival "archaeologists". The business was rough, and Oscar had to be the roughest. He was known in the world of "archaeology" for his ruthlessness, greed, and unbridled ambition. You had every right to challenge him over a hit, you just had to be ready to face his seemingly bottomless bag of tricks and pranks (most of which involved extreme violence). He was on top for a while, but all good things must end. Almost always abruptly. [break][break]
Success made Oscar overconfident, and his lust for wealth set his eyes on an impossible prize. There was a particularly historically significant artifact in a museum that he was dying to "excavate". He thought that with a crack team and his burglary skills it would be easy, but nothing truly is. Before the job could even be done, he got a tip that one of his team members made a deal with a rival and was going to spill everything to the authorities. If Oscar didn't think of something quick, he would be sunk for good. He went to a bar to drown his sorrows/think of a plan when a fateful encounter occurred. He spotted an old Rocket colleague who was on vacation, and after catching up they shared some interesting information. Apparently Rocket was alive and well in Hoenn, and just like that Oscar had his out. He packed up some valuables and jumped on the next boat out. Now Hoenn isn't exactly jumping with ancient landmarks, so Oscar has relabeled himself as a "collector of doodads and oddities". Most of which belong to others. With his old gig back and Alola behind him, life is looking grand. Here's hoping it stays that way.
