IT'S A LONG WAIT AT A LONG LIGHT

A gargantuan thank you to LEAP for Hoenn's new skin!! They have graciously created a new skin for us, and I am so utterly blown away by everything they have made. I'm utterly speechless at their kindness, and simultaneously amazed by everything within it.

There is an updated mini-profile, a lot of new features and navigation (click everything!!), and even a snazzy new members list. Please check it out and give the biggest of thanks to Leap for everything they have done. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

There is a slight bug where if you move to the second page of a thread, the mini-profile tabs won't work due to Proboards being finicky; however, a simple refresh will fix it. Let me know if there's anything else, and I'll see if I can fix it!

hoenn is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise. skin is created by pharaoh leap with graphical help from red. we would like to thank leap and kumachan for their additional templates (staff temp, custom pc). next, the gachapon, garden/swarm spawn, ranger raid, black market, pkmn contest post templates were coded by ulla. mark has created the wild spawn, endeavour list, league card and exhibit templates. razost created the gachapon script and has helped with so much coding on the site. thanks to him, we have saved hundreds of hours of work!

after the ultra beast war, hoenn begins to heal. the megalopolan invasion may have failed; however, it is clear there is much more at stake. a prophecy revolving around a cyclical meteoroid, the appearance of necrozma and a dangerous and viral alien threaten the safety of the region once more.

with rocket's new boss, the resurgence and reappearance of the crime syndicate's presence is imminent. the league has done its best to repair its reputation, and with the victory of a war under their belt, perhaps it is enough. but the seeds of distrust have already been sown in the ravaged land of this region, causing many to wonder what will grow?

this rural shithole really has to be the worst part of this already backwater region.

dominic never really did understand why they picked hoenn for all this instead of something slightly closer to home. he supposed the distance meant some of the pokemon were exotic enough to sell for an inflated price, maybe the artifacts and rocks the science-guys unearth in the caves are worth something.

standing watch for the scientist's "protection", dominic paces impatiently outside the ancient tomb, glaring at the eerily symmetrical rock structures surrounding the cave as though sharing a space with them is an insult.

he and the scientist both know he's there just to make sure the man doesn't try to run.

he catches movement in the bushes and snaps to attention, body tensing for a moment until the intruder shows itself to be nothing impressive.

eyeing the small pokemon suspiciously for a moment, dominic tries to recall if he had ever fought this thing. satisfied that it is not a threat and of little to no interest otherwise, he turns away.

it's the cacturne's humanoid shadow that throws him off. dominic sees it from the corner of his eye and whirls around, tossing his weavile's pokeball toward the wild pokemon with an order before he's even sure who or what is approaching.

it's a feral instinct, something that shoots adrenaline through his veins when something approaches from the shadows.

dominic exhales sharply, relieved, as he watches his pokemon hack at the wild cacturne. ribbons of green leaves are sliced by vicious claws until dominic finally fishes out an empty capsule and silences the cries.
