MARCH UPDATE

Asher made his way through the gravestones on Mt. Pyre. It wasn't as if he'd never seen a pokemon graveyard before, but Mt. Pyre's was giant compared to most of the region's graveyards. It brought a sobering touch to Asher's usually charming face. There was no smile, but no frown. Simply, blank.

But his eyes turned with many thoughts. He'd lost pokemon in an effort to save his own tail. He was not without that loss. But he wondered, was he inhuman for thinking their sacrifices weren't in vain because he lived on? Was he inhuman for being relieved that it was they who died, not him?

They weren't buried in this graveyard, but he came to it regardless in an effort to give them a form of thanks. Gratitude, and to prove that he hadn't gone on living his live with empty hands. No, he had lived a good life thus far, and he wasn't ashamed of it.

Perhaps that was very human of him, or perhaps it wasn't.

Before Asher knew it, a wave of energy started to press against his body. He knew the feeling well, being that he always had beheeyem at his side. Instinct led him to tossing out Daisy's ball. The houndoom gave a howl as it emerged, immediately zeroing in and giving a harsh crunch to the poor gothorita.

Asher watched as the poor thing fell unconscious, glancing to Daisy, and then giving her a brilliant smile and squatting down enough to rub her head with pride.

"You're beautiful, you know that?"

The houndoom wagged her tail and gave Asher soft grunts and nudges before skipping ahead of him and keeping herself alert so that her trainer wasn't in danger.

Asher stopped at a grave, noticing the dust and dirt that had collected. Must have been forgotten, which was very much a shame. Or perhaps, the owner of the pokemon had moved away and couldn't come and clean it regularly. Either way, Asher moved to use his sleeves to clean off the tombstone.

Once he was finished, he stood and looked for Daisy, finding her gnawing on the very dead husk of a shedninja, tearing at it like it was a cardboard box. A small chuckle left him as he started down the path again.

"Didn't even give him a frame advantage, did you?"

While on their way back, they ran into a few ghost pokemon, which he allowed Daisy to have her fun with. If she let out her aggression here, making sure that honedges who were using tombstones as sharpening stones were dealt with, Asher knew she'd be a better canine while he was out on business.

Usually she was his means of being intimidating. As in, she was the one he kept out that kept others well behaved while he was doing business in the more seedy locations of his work.

Either way, the day was getting close, and he tossed out freddy his beheeyem before snapping his fingers and calling back Daisy. He removed the honedge from her muzzle, which had been knocked out cold with a single snap of her crunch, and returned her to her luxury ball.

"These things suck the soul out of you if you hold too tightly..." actually, that didn't sound like a terrible thing if he could plant it to suck souls out of others. Huh.

With that in mind, he used one of his luxury balls on the knocked out honedge.
