Why on earth would anyone deliberately use Rocket’s name was beyond him but he was assigned with dealing with it nonetheless. Given some of the goings-on within the organization the last thing they needed was for some group to be going around posing at them and luckily they caught wind of it before the league managed to.

Honestly, this wasn’t the type of work that he's keen on doing but he supposed the target was lucky it was him. He might try to talk them out of whatever nonsense they were up to, someone else would probably just wipe them out. Which is why whoever he was working with on this he hoped wasn’t in a foul mood.

The nutjobs in question were apparently held up in some store they were using as a front.

Samuel awaited his partner at an outside eatery where he had gotten a table.

he approaches samuel valentine without hesitation, despite the somewhat pained expression on his face. he does not sit down, only tilting his head to look towards him. "you ready?" he sighs.

Excellent, Samuel’s partner did not make him wait long. He’d rather get this done as fast as possible. Samuel stood from his table and walked a bit past the other male.

”Yeah, let’s get this over with.” He replied as he then kept moving.

”Apparently they’re held up in a book store, which honestly is such a terrible thing to put those in the line of fire but oh well.” Samuel sighed. Perhaps he could save some if things got a bit hairy and attacks started to fly.

”But how do you want to handle this? I figure they’re simply a group of punks. A bit of intimidation is probably all they need to be persuaded to double think their choices.”

there's no need to think twice before his answer, marcel's preference for the way he carries out his missions rarely ever changes. he shoves a hand into his pocket. "yeah, try and keep it quiet. don't wanna set the neighbours off." taking out a pokeball, he releases his kabadra. [break][break]
once they reach the building, marcel rests a hand on the door. "if things look like they're going to escalate just end it quickly," he says, "i doubt they'll be able to overpower us anything." having said all he wanted to, he pushes open the door.

”Ready.” Samuel responded, following after the other rocket as he entered the building. A chime of a bell rung as the duo entered the establishment, alerting the shopkeeper who was busy reading. The man welcomed the two and asked if they needed any help with anything.

”I’m just looking around.” Samuel replied as he walked through the rows of bookshelves and inspected the collection of reading material on display.

There was actually quite the interesting variety here and if he was here on a free day Samuel might have taken some of these books home without a fuss but alas he was here on work.

The shopkeeper then asked again if they needed any help with something, and in an annoyed tone that betrayed his clear attempts at hiding his true nature.

”I’m doing fine, actually found some nice ones over here. What about you?” Samuel said, his question directed at Marcel.

with that, marcel makes a beeline for the counter--or, more accurately, the room that lay behind it. the shopkeeper shouts, but when he moves to stop him, he finds his feet stuck firmly to the ground. his gaze rests on the kabadra by the door, a purple aura radiating off of it from the power of PSYCHIC.

as he passes the shopkeeper, marcel claps his shoulder. "now my friend over here's going to little chat with you ." he releases his zoroark before opening the door behind the counter (unlocked, of course. amateurs.) he leaves his kadabra behind, should samuel need any help. it wasn't like he planned on taking that long, anyway.

his zoroark enters first, using TAUNT to try and provoke any pokemon out of hiding, should there be any. when no response comes, it takes him a moment longer to spot the back door, wide open. "bastards." still, they'd seemed to leave everything behind in their rush. marcel begins to sift through the rooms contents.

”Have fun!” Samuel waved as the Admin wandered off to take care of his business, leaving Samuel to take care of his own. It was nice of Marcel to leave the Kadabra with him, cutting out any extra work the blonde might’ve had to do to keep the shopkeeper in place. ”Now what to do with you.” He tapped his chin as he began to walk around the frozen shopkeeper. Eventually, Samuel stopped and leaned up against the counter.

”Oh I know! You’re going to tell me everything that you and your little friends had planned here.” He’d suddenly snap as this thought came to mind, quickly thereafter taking a capsule out of his pocket.

The man was showing clear signs that he wasn’t going to tell Samuel what he wanted but Sam knew a good way to get the man to come around. ”Now, now. It will be a lot easier for you if you just cooperate but if not.” As he spoke he released the Pokémon inside the capsule, his Pyroar. The mere sight of the beast shook the shopkeeper but still, he remained silent.

That was until the large beast opens its maw, revealing a surge of crackling flames. He began to spill all sorts of secrets after that which was music to Samuel’s ears.

”Now isn’t that much better?” Samuel looked off toward the direction that Marcel went and wondering if he was having any success.

"looks like we'll be getting a bonus." in his other hand, he holds a folder containing a number of papers, along with a few other things marcel's thrown in himself (burner phones, fake ids, and the like). he gives the pair a curious look, noting samuel had done his job.

"i've taken everything they need," he says, "there'll be some guys coming to seize the property later." he looks at the shopkeeper, this next part directed at him, "so you better make sure the rest of your lot don't come back."

he returns his zoroark and zips up the bag. "you good to go?"

”Oh yeah, I’m all good.” Samuel replied. His conversation with the shopkeep went well, Samuel learned a lot about the group that was held up here but it seemed like Marcel found himself some nice loot.

Sam was of course more interested in the money then any of the other stuff. Anything beyond the money was problems for some other poor sap in rocket, not him. But with their work done and Marcel here there was no need for Pyroar so he returned the beast.

”Our friend here told me that it doesn’t seem like the kids will be coming back but even if they do we’ll have people here so it’ll be there funeral." He shrugged as they left.
