Chomps wasn't the easiest pokemon to travel with, all things considered.

His size made it so you could easily spot Katherine from miles away, his behavior attracted wild pokemon like bees to honey. It was annoying. But he was like a giant baby, and it was impossible for Katherine to get mad at him. Her other partners, maybe. But not her Garchomp.

"Come on, Chomps. We need to keep moving. I know it's nice here but-- there are other nice places, I promise."

The dual-type seems not to hear his trainer's words, or at the very least, not listen to them. He is too occupied with burrowing under the ground near a patch of grass.

It seemed like Chomps wasn't just burrowing into the ground after all.

When he finally hears his trainer calling for him, he begins to make his way up - only to drag with him a helpless Starmie who happens to suffer from the collateral damage of the dragon-type's DIG attack. "--Oh? What did you bring with you, Chomps?" Turning around, the Garchmop couldn't help but tilt his head at the sight of the injured dual-type.

"Well, you might as well help him go to sleep again now."

The smile Katherine offered to her partner encourages Chomps to smile as well, showing off his fangs to the scared Star-shaped pokemon. It seemed like it was already prepared to run, if allowed. Unfortunately-- it wasn't. Chomps' head glowed with a bright, silver light before connecting with the Starmie - knocking them out easily.

A Pokeball follows next, the Rocketess throwing it with the intent of capturing the fallen dual-type.

"How did you know it was there?"

Instead of offering an answer, the Garchomp nears his trainer and extends his fist-- a pleading look washing his expression. He was practically begging her to follow through - and she does. Their fists bump. And for just a moment, Garchomp is the happiest pokemon in Hoenn.
