perhaps the cat's refusal to abandon the bush works in her favor, however... a dratini pokes its head out from that very bush and the appearance does little to deter the skitty. in fact, she's mewling with unbridled excitement at the prospect of a new friend. "don't hit it," giada warns just as she sees the cat wind up for another swat. a pause, a lingering paw in the air, and then it falls back to the ground.

"sing," the blonde murmurs. she drifts closer to the pair while caramella starts off the day with a light melody. their new little friend is lulled into a peaceful slumber, curling around itself until it's a coil in a bush. by the time the first snore hits her ears, she's already bending at the waist to tap a safari ball gently on its head.

as if to further ignore the blonde, caramella happily nibbles on the sunkern she'd managed to catch. a sigh escapes giada before she's scrambling to pry the poor sunkern away from her skitty. damn thing.

the struggle doesn't last as long as it usually does when the cat gets into something she shouldn't but by the end of it, caramella's already bouncing off in a new direction and giada's pinching the bridge of her nose.

[attr="class","giada i"]clearly, caramella wears the pants in this relationship. wherever the skitty leads, giada follows. the control given up to the pink kitty usually ends in disaster but at least it's sometimes funny?

except in moments like now, where she has to once again scramble to keep the skitty from getting herself into more trouble than she already has. lingering dangerously close to a lake is caramella, happily pawing at something in the water. upon closer inspection, it's a tentacool and oh god, claws are coming out.

"stop that," giada cuts in, scooping the cat right up into her arms to prevent the poor tentacool from having its head popped. do they even pop? huh... actually, that might not be too unpleasant to see? yikes, time to move along before she tries to find out.

[attr="class","giada i"]her face brightens into a smile and a moment later, the telltale click of a photo being taken echoes against trees. a gastly, one that reminds her a little too much of Abner Armstrong, floats into view. she's quick to snap a picture and send it his way before pocketing the phone.

"cutie," she coos to the ghost. it giggles and bobs in place, half transparent gas following like a pattern. and perhaps this is the only pokemon she won't issue an attack against that isn't a cat because she does nothing more than offer a hand out, beckoning it closer. the ghost doesn't bother to turn her own, instead slipping over to hover above her hand. "you must be a killer with that smile."

caramella mewls at her ankles, a paw swatting up at the ghost as if she also wants to have a conversation with their new friend.

caramella leads them into the next portion of the safari, only to bump into something that just refuses to move. the blonde had been distracted by the gastly swirling around her head to notice until the irritated growl that escapes the skitty has her head snapping up. no one fucks with her cats, not on her watch.

"hey," she calls and both the skitty and the eiscue turn their heads. and while she's probably seen some shit, this is wild from top to bottom. maybe the penguin takes having big brain moments too seriously because look at that damn head! a laugh escapes and she's stepping closer, the gastly snickering along with her. "blockhead, please move?" she asks nice enough that the penguin just tilts that giant head at her and waddles away.

and then, they continue, laughter still escaping. and at some point, it becomes harder to tell if it's coming from the woman or the gastly.

[attr="class","giada i"]bugs? not exactly her forte. unless it's something kinda cool like an ariados or something, she's probably not interested. maybe that's why the scatterbug doesn't even shift her attention away from the gastly. they've definitely been gossiping for a few minutes now. thick as thieves, fuck yeah.

her skitty, however? definitely interested in swatting the poor scatterbug around. whatever noises a bug makes escape the scatterbug before giada's ushering her skitty back to her side with the click of a tongue. she'll spare a pointed look to the bug as if to say you're welcome before the little insect skitters off into the bushes to hopefully never see her skitty again.
