Abner made his way to the cave entrance and looked the entrance over with a dissatisfied sigh. He'd teleported there with the help of his alakazam, who he'd since returned to her ball and allowed meditation time in her capsule; her favorite pass time.[break][break]

He was supposed to meet the fellow rocket who he was going to go stone hunting with at the entrance, but not seeing her made him wonder if he was late. He checked his watch, decided he wasn't late, and further decided to just wait for her.[break][break]

But in the sun, he felt like he was being baked. He'd for sure get a decent sun tan, but he wasn't the type that liked a tan, or tan lines, and so he quickly made his way into the shade of the cave's opening to wait for her arrival.

Which, frankly, isn't all that surprising. It happened more often than Katherine would have liked to admit. She only cared about other people's time when they've earned her graces: and as far as she knew, this was a no-name rocket member she'd never see again in the future. A grunt who'd likely fade into obscurity and try to run from the organization before realizing it isn't an option.

The Gallade bowed softly after teleporting his along with his trainer into the cave. A bright, pink light announced the duo's arrival - and Katherine already turned to search for her partner with her eyes.

And he is found eventually.
[break]He looks familiar. Why does he look familiar? There's no way she knew him, is there?

As the curvy figure comes into view, Abner's distracted not only by her body but by the way she commands the situation. He doesn't argue with her, and instead gives her a nod and a gengar's grin; a signature of his.[break][break]

"Yes ma'am."[break][break]

Standing up off the wall, Abner makes his way into the cave with little hardships. It's an easy enough mission and he doubts they'll even run into much problems in the realm of ice type pokemon. He's brought a few trusty companions just in case, but doubts they'll be needed if he plays is cards right.[break][break]

"Nice ta meetcha, Kat. You can call me Abner."

She recognizes his name without knowing why, and it throws Katherine off her game for a couple of moments.

"Uh-huh, it's nice to meet you too. Have we met before?" She sees little reason in dancing around the subject. "Your name sounds familiar, but I don't think we've worked together before." It'd be even more awkward if they did and she forgot. "You don't give off newbie vibes."

It's sort of a compliment.

They venture deeper into the cave together and whereas Katherine makes no effort to stay alert, Gallade ensures that nothing and no one can surprise them.

Abner's default setting is alert enough not to get fucked, but, then again, he's been careless more than once before. Her question has him smirking.[break][break]

"Not that I know of. I'm an older member, if it helps any."[break][break]

Now, he's not about to make it easy for her. If only because he prefers to see the looks on grunt's faces when they go, 'OMG' because he's an ex-beast. Hopefully gonna be a not ex-beast, but, there's new regulations now and he hadn't even met the newer boss so... he doubts he'll get the position back anytime soon. If ever.

She repeats after him, the wheels in her head already beginning to spin. She knew she recognized him from somewhere, but where exactly was something she couldn't pinpoint just yet. A Snorunt gets a tad too close to Gallade's liking, and the gladiator-like pokemon acts immediately. He moves to dispatch the ice-type with a well-aimed CLOSE COMBAT.

And while Katherine was more than willing to toy with the thoughts about Abner's identity, a pack of Glalie's - likely related to the same Snorunt who just fainted - began to approach. One, two, three– hell, there are too many of them for her to count.

"Okay, that was a bad idea."

"Arthur, if you don't mind?"
[break][break]
The ice-types began to charge orbs of ICE BEAMS in their mouths before Gallade executed another TELEPORT, transporting Abner, Katherine and himself deeper into the cave.[break][break]
"..That was close. Let's try not to anger them again, alright?"

Abner had reached for a pokeball at his hip, to dispatch a fire type to melt the ice types, but apparently Katherine was gonna take all the reigns on this one. Consider Abner a happy smiling camper with no complaints and a smile on his face.[break][break]

"Thanks Kit-Kat." His eyes trailed to the Gallade. "And uh, King Arthur."[break][break]

Without much more thought to that, Abner glanced around. He knew where he was supposed to be headed into the cave, but now that they were deeper he was pulling out his device and looking at the makeshift instructions and directions he'd been given. Looking around at his surroundings, he pointed toward an opening that looked as if it had teeth.[break][break]

"It's this way."[break][break]

His tone is just as lazy as his stride as he ventures forward. And being in need of a bit of light, he pulls forth his malamar, who gives a subtle glow as the venture forward.

Abner seemed to lead the way without much trouble and Katherine seemed to be comfortable with following after him.

There's no doubt that trusting a fellow Rocket so easily was a mistake on her part, but hey, she was more than willing to deal with the consequences of whatever chaos Abner could bring with him, or lead her to. She thrives where order is thrown out of the window– so the lack of fear is fitting.

Gallade is far from talkative, so he only offers a nod of acknowledgment after he is thanked. "So..." There's a short pause that follows Katherine's words, drawing the suspense further.

"Are you really going to hold out on me and wait until I figure out why your name sounds so familiar?" After all, it was only delaying the inevitable.

The situation was quite a unique one. Usually Abner's face and reputation spoke volumes for him. Maybe this chic hadn't heard enough rumors to know... but then again, who really knew in the new rocket who the old beasts were?[break][break]

"I go by Bloodsport Kipling in my MMA fights. I've been around the underground rings as Silas' Maul, and I helped rip Kanto to shreds."[break][break]

Not that it stayed in shreds, but, y'know. There's little agitation in his voice. As a matter of fact, he sounds mildly bored.

Her eyes widen slightly at the sound of Silas's name being used, and then a bit more at the mention of Kanto. It's like Kat finally found the missing piece for the puzzle, and now everything began to fall into place. Who he was, why he seemed familiar, why she even recognized the name.

Now that she recognized his title, there was finally a good reason for her to actually use his name. He deserved that much respect, didn't he?
