she stands out in the sea of sable that surrounds her. she nears town, the continuous flow of ash beginning to speckle her flowing emerald tresses and the fine leather of the jacket she uses to shield herself from the slight chill. vega prowls beside her, his violet orbs gleam menacingly as he stakes out their surroundings. giselle refuses to go home empty handed, especially when there is an abundance of prey that surrounds her.

the fork of vega's tail stands erect when they discover the sableye. giselle gazes at the gemstone pattern that intricately sprawls out on his back, which faces them as his claws tear purposely through the soil. "boring," giselle comments, the remark spoken lowly under her breath. she has no desire to disrupt the sableye. jewel rests in her pokemon, a testament that one is plenty for the magnate.

the gliscor's silent strike it exacts is meant to land a critical hit. it would have proven successful if vega had failed to predict the attack through his fine fur and the fork of his tail. giselle's pushed aside and topples over onto the ash speckled ground. vega's irritation fuels him; he already knows his trainer will whine incessantly over the incident for the remainder of the night.

"get him," giselle barks out to her pokemon.

all it takes is one deliberately timed psybeam unleashed from the crimson gem on his head and vega leaves the bat incapacitated. giselle produces a pokeball from her pocket, tosses it towards the gliscor, and smirks as the searing beam of energy welcomes the pokemon into its new home.
