[attr="class","octavia i"]well, call her harry potter because the audacity of this bitch feels like something straight out of a fictional world. the way he pinches the bridge of his nose, insults the vibes, and --as if the disruption wasn't enough-- insinuates that she's bothering him just weasels its way under her skin.

man, if she had a bigger crystal on her, she might just swing that shit. instead, tavi takes a step back, adjusts her mildly droopy hat, and fixes him with an almost knowing stare.

"sounds like something a capricorn would say," good, good, blame it on the guessed zodiac. her arms cross over her chest, pendulum swinging violently with the movement. it settles, eventually, against her sternum and shudders.

"first of all," her tangent begins with a huff and a matter-of-fact tone. cue the witch rant. "the vibes are here and you're harshing them. second of all, there's a spirit somewhere around here and i'm trying to find it. unless you're gonna call spiritbusters or whatever, no calls are being made." although, if this ghost isn't casper then she might need some back up. there's only so much she can do with protection jars of herbs and rocks.

behind her shoulder, the phantump offers a movement very similar to the shake of a head.

[attr="class","octavia i"]"anything down this hall?" her voice echoes, bouncing off empty walls and abandoned hallways. the dead of night greets her with silence. witching hour has descended upon the rocket headquarters, leaving her left to wreck havoc conduct her mission. attention darts to the object dangling from her fingers, hovering above an open palm. the pendulum answers as it always does, as it always will.

unfortunately, that answer is absolutely nothing. fuck, she really thought it could've been that hallway. the vibe seemed off down there.

she'll rotate on her heel, wandering away from strike one to find a new hallway. the next one feels promising... "anything down hereee?" she doesn't bother to look up from the purple crystal of her pendulum. not when it's beginning to move, anyway. at her shoulder, faithful darling atropos keeps it's eyes glued to the hall. a ghost feeling out another ghost sounds like a story for success, right?

strike two comes in the form of another swinging no and once again, she moves on.

strapped with crystals, a witch hat, and a grimoire latched to her hip, she's prepared for the hunt. unfortunately, she's not exactly prepared for knocking into another living body as she refuses to concentrate on anything other than a swinging rock.

she does, however, prepare an irritated huff that escapes after collision. who the h e double l would interrupt her work?

"oi, we're working here buddy. you're disrupting the vibes."

[attr="class","tavi i"]now that leafy thing? totally immaculate. i mean, look at that massive leaf! best hair accessory or hairstyle ever.

she, naturally, stares for what feels like forever. the bayleaf is really just happily munching on leaves, staring back, and she's processing about five different thoughts at once. what kind of leaf is that? is it an herb? why does it grow there? does it vary in sizes? can she have maybe a teeny bit of it? probably not but worth a shot. meanwhile, the bayleaf is all no thought, just munch.

"hey," smooth start. can't possibly go down hill. "my dude, i love your leaf." definitely down hill. she spoke too soon. or well, i did but it's fine. anyway! the bayleaf pauses in the endeavor of chewing its lunch. a thought besides eating rises, one that seems to work in tavi's favor. shocking, i know.

the bayleaf comes a little closer and without thinking, she reaches a hand out to touch the leaf. it's soft, leaf-like, everything she had expected. and of course, that blows her mind.

"okay, yep, definitely taking you home friendo!" case closed, apparently.

atropos, bless his heart, snags some leafy snacks for octavia's newly decided friend and tries to help lure the poor bayleaf home with them.

[attr="class","tavi i"]that direction doesn't exactly seem right either. her intuition apparently sucks today. which, i mean, that's fine and all but just how many creatures is she gonna offend today? two, at least... maybe more.

"you got a lil something," she mumbles, a hand reaching out in an attempt to pluck at cotton spores. "right. there." oop, terrible idea. the edelgoss screeches, much like a banshee, and she recoils instantly. talk about a bad fucking vibe. damn.

if it wasn't all cotton and barely any body, it'd probably scratch her eyeballs out. instead, it stumbles, screeches once more just to be dramatic, and then scurries off. atropos, bless his heart, has no words for the stupidity that he just witnessed. instead, he merely blinks and tries to guide his trainer away from causing more harm.

really, how was she supposed to know that thing was touchy about its spores?

apparently some creatures that call the woods their home don't exactly enjoy cleansing smoke. does she blame them? maybe a teeny bit... okay, not really cause that shit burns the eyes sometimes. anyway, the first pokemon they encounter causes the woman to tilt her head.

first to the left and then to the right, as if sizing it up will make it less angry with her. you've heard the stories of butterflies, right? how they'd ten out of ten drink blood given the opportunity? yeah, unsettling, would not recommend. octavia, realistically, finds that kind of metal as fuck but definitely won't fuck around and find out today.

"yep, bad vibe," she mumbles. her movements are quick and right in the opposite direction of the masquerain. pivot and see ya, am i right?

her phantump merely coos, maybe a soft sorry or gentle goodbye because atropos is a gentleman and a scholar, before floating off after his trainer.

[attr="class","tavi i"]"you know," she drawls, gaze sweeping to the side. it's hazy in this part of the woods, most likely because of the bundled herb burning in her hand. white sage is a bitch's best friend sometimes. gotta say fuck you to the bad vibes, right? "probably not my best idea."

which idea? there's several. trying to do a tarot reading for her phantump? maybe. not cleansing before leaving the house? definitely. trying to cleanse in the middle of the woods when she knows damn well she's probably the only bad mojo in the room? yep, that's it.

atropos merely stares, not even bothering to blink. he's used to this by now. the whole wandering around at night with some form of smoke following them as if whatever deities his trainer works with will magically ignore her bullshit. it's a valiant effort, kinda. not really but she goes with it and because she goes with it, so does atropos.

"anyway," she snuffs the stick of sage out without bothering to fully stop. a quick swish of smoldering herb against dirt should be fine. smoke fades eventually after she waves it around a few times. dramatic effect or a final touch, whichever works really. "let's get moving." off to find another victim of a reading, maybe. or just end up collecting dirt into jars. either way, a win.
