danny's only just met his cohort for the day but it's fair to say they've gotten quite close. he's never had a problem with socializing, being the extrovert that he is.[break][break]

danny's in the middle of a d&d session when his phone (in his pocket, of course, as he isn't rude) buzzes with a text. it only buzzes for emergencies so, sneakily, danny pulls his phone out to read over the text.[break][break]

is nagi miwa high? drunk? or did sherlock steal his phone?[break][break]

but then another text comes, leaving danny the only choice to reply. his thumb slowly taps at his phone screen while his other hand rolls a d20.[break][break]

and so, the sixth episode of the newest season plays. danny's lost for most of it but it doesn't take much for him to get into it. even though he doesn't know the characters, the plot, or what the current arc is, he still finds himself enjoying it.[break][break]

and after the episode is done, danny's just about free from the sticky hold of the tree as well. he nods at the vespiquen, grateful.[break][break]

"there's two more episodes, right? wanna go finish them? i'm hooked."

it's a blessing and a miracle that the one day danny decides to get stuck to a tree is the day he doesn't have any rocket assignments. it's his free day, essentially, and what better way to spend it than stuck to a tree talking to katherine?[break][break]

at her question, he could only chuckle at the sheer stupidity of why he'd gotten stuck in the first place.[break][break]

"i, uh, was on my walk and got tired so i decided to take a break. leaned against this tree, and that was that. they really should put up warning signs."[break][break]

sighing, danny pulls out his phone, unlocks it to a background of him and Greyson Connors when they were kids, and taps on the rotomtv app.[break][break]

the situation is too stupid for him to ever feel bad about. it's just humorous. what he does feel bad about, however, is that she had to pause her binge of elite, a show he's not heard of, to come and save him.[break][break]
