he was having a good night. the first in a while, since him and gwen had officially called it quits. and of course, it gets ruined. the voice that captures his attention chills his blood, a cloud of anger fogging his mind for but a moment.

his nonchalance spikes his annoyance into anger. for a moment, it floods him, his hands curling into fists, his teeth grinding, and his heartbeat quickening. there's a small hiss as he exhales from his mouth, attempting to get himself under control.

simpler times loom over them as they start their walk through the festival. it's hard not to reminisce, not with all the familiar sights and booths that they once visited when they were younger.

the churro stand, for example. he remembers queueing thirty minutes for one only to drop his when they were in line for a ride later. horrible times.

"you up for that?"

he points to one of the spinning rides.

"not gonna throw up again, are you?"

they couldn't change being how old they are now (little does danny know), but they can change the former. it's then that danny's lips snake into a childish grin that only grows as they pass by a particular stall.

"five shots each please!"

and before greyson even has a chance to protest, ten shot glasses are laid out in front of them.

somehow, he felt that danny had planned this. to have ten glasses ready before he could even speak? a clear godmod. greyson's nose twitches, one violet hue turning to regard him from the side.
