[attr="class","danny"]it being night out, there's no risk of danny suffering a farmer's tan, so he could stay here all night if he wanted to. that'd be silly, though, as he has no water or food on him.

"shit. i forgot to bring water with me."

so, the only option is to cut their training short. such a shame. some could even call it a fall from grace.

at least they'll encounter one last reuniclus before they leave.

the psychic-type floats on over, extending its arms out with its OVERCOAT.

the cacturne's violence in the box scares him a bit and he can't help but say a little prayer even though he's not religious in the slightest. it looks big, tough, and oddly pretty.

steeling himself, he takes a deep breath, steps forward, then reaches a hand out only to realize that he doesn't need to be doing this himself. so he calls out a pokemon instead.

"bud, i'ma need you to help us carry this."

the megaross vibrates in a PSYCHIC, lifting it to rest atop its head.

turning to izzy, danny asks:

regardless of grimmsnarl's answer, training finds them in the form of a wild wooper. a HAZE surrounds them, washing over to OBSCURE their feet.

"grimster..."

he wants to say to take it easy but that'd defeat the point of training. but he also doesn't wanna hurt the wild wooper too badly...

with a sigh, he watches grimmsnarl's POWER-UP PUNCH bulge his muscles. the wooper smacks into the ground, sending out an ACID SPRAY in response to no avail.

it soon falls.

danny eyes the coat for a few moments, wanting to protest, but ultimately, another chill forces him to accept the coat. he slips into it, tugging it over his chest.

"...thanks."

he sighs, shrugging a shoulder.

"pokemon, i think. i heard they liked to make us move crates of them. dunno why they can't be in their pokeballs, though..."

probably because they're stolen.

once inexperienced and relatively weak, grimmsnarl's become a seasoned battler. he doesn't need the influx of strength from POWER-UP PUNCH to enlarge his muscles — they're already there, clear as day even under the darkness of a FULL MOON.

the swig of whiskey is NOSTALGIC as he recalls sharing his first drink with his dad. it tastes stronger, shittier, but it hits all the same. he enjoys the feeling as he hands the flask back over to bryan.

"i've started to find that the real rockets aren't as bad as people make them out to be."

he shrugs.

"everyone has their reasons for being here, you know?"

the pikachu steps forward to pick up the treat, sniffing it but not eating it just yet.

so he could head the opposite direction.
