If his reaction is bad, Onyx's is worse. He seemed to take pause, voice nearly breaking as he tried to speak. Hazel eyes damn near flash yellow in the low-light like Chuchi when she greeted Onyx. A terrible grin pulls at his lips as he turns his body towards Onyx. "Yeah. You." He said letting each word hang in the air deliberately. [break][break]

That or his brain could only process so many at a time due to the fever. But even delirious, he can gage a little. But he's not as subtle as he could be either. "Get it?" He sits up a little cupping his chest with his hands and pushing on his pecs a little. "Because….I've got….big milkers??" He laughed like a middle schooler squeezing his own chest.

Andres blinks, slow and stupid as Onyx spoke. "What?" He processes it all slow. Like what Onyx said hadn't been buck wild. He stays still, frozen as the gears in his brain turn the word 'submarine' over in his brain. And then something in his brain makes him jump right over that slip of the tongue, ignoring it in favor of hotel sheets. [break][break]

His own linens and the dried blood on his balcony something he'd had to deal with too. How many times had he stopped to cry the day after? Even more after Onyx disappeared from the hospital. [break][break]

His nails dig into his jacket as he tried to keep his thoughts from wandering. "You were bleeding out. I wanted to make sure you were ok." Andres said firmly, eyes on the grass and the stars. "You picked the worst time to not impose." He added, voice shaking as he forced it level, not wanting to be angry with Onyx. [break][break]

"I wish you hadn't avoided me after the hospital." Maybe it was a pride thing, but then Onyx was forgetting he'd already seen him laid so low.

There's a strange confidence that comes with confessing a subconscious, years old love and then proceeding to wear the outfit that helped you realize it. The way Onyx's gaze rakes over his body made him shiver in a good way. Any nerves from before disappear as he feels happy?? Proud?? At the effect it has on Onyx. There's no crowd and no loud music. He can hear and see Onyx so clearly. [break][break]

Andres forgets all his doubts, his grief. "Yeah...? Are you excited for it to be back?" He asked, his hand grazing against Onyx's crotch as he lifted a hand to rest on their chest. The things he does for this man.

When Andres gathers the nerve to peek through his fingers, that same goddamn grin shoots right through him. Onyx knows not what he's found, except that it's juicy and worth poking at. And he's sure his inability to bluff right now has only confirmed that. Andres can feel his entire body go hot and he averts his gaze from Onyx. [break][break]

The questions hangs in the air and Andres picks up his bowl, tilts it back, and silences himself by chugging some of the broth. When he can't take the heat ( literally ), he sets it on the bed, now a little safer to balance with him next to it. [break][break]

"Yeah..." he's annoyed, wiping orange broth off his mouth as he finally looked back at the cow fit and his caretaker. "It's...it was going to be a surprise...for you." he began. "At some point." When? Who's to say? It had been the result of another long pity party kind of night.

"Do you hide out here when you're not visiting me?" Andres asked, shifting himself so he can wrap his arms aorund his knees and rest his chin on his arms. He really had no idea where Onyx went when he wasn't appearing out of thin air in his apartment. [break][break]

He hadn't know where the man had left to fully recover. His home had been offered, of course, but...he hadn't stayed. And of course he'd worried but... here Onyx was. Having a picnic under the stars and talking about their lives together. It gives him a sense of relief. It felt like Onyx cared enough to let him know he was ok. In his own way. [break][break]

Or at least trusted him enough to drop his dying body at his door step. He digs his nails into his arms trying to push away thoughts of the hospital and the surgery and Onyx- [break][break]

A squeeze of his eyes and the memory is gone, suppressed. Andres would never gather up the courage to really say what he's thinking. It was better to just set it aside and forget.

Only moments ago he was sobbing over if Onyx would reject him over a confession. Now he's wrapped up in his eye and his smile not even thinking. He'd do anything for him. Happily, if he asked like that. If he smiled so wickedly that his pulse raced and his face flushed. It's a weakness he couldn't control. Andres swallowed, nodding quietly, as if confirming any and every suspicious thing rolling aorund in Onyx's brain right now. He should be humiliated, but you can only fall so far in one night. He lets out a small gasp as he felt teeth catch on his throat, tilting away just enough to make it easier. [break][break]

And then, Onyx asks him the question he'd been hoping he'd ask for months now. He agrees almost too quickly, eyes opening wide in surprise. "I- I uh-... yeah-!" his enthusiasm stuttered out of him as he tried to catch up with what's playing out, still thinking about Onyx's teeth and his hands and- [break][break]

Somehow, he pries himself away from Onyx, despite staring at him in disbelief. He swallows again, before finally looking to his room, and rushing back to his closet to dig out the stupid costume. The only merit it had was getting Onyx to kiss him, but it was enough to keep the cheap thing. [break][break]

Otherwise, he didn't care much for it. The red and black sequins were itchy, the fabric on the flimsy skirt stained with all the messes form Halloween. But he had anyway, fantasizing about a night Onyx would see him in it again. He'd gone over the drunken events of that night over and over again, not understanding what about it had drawn the man out. But it had. And it would again. [break][break]

It fits a little tighter. Cheap fabric and the wash don't really mix. But the jean jacket is still soft to the touch, well worn and well cared for. Though it barely smelled like Onyx anymore, but maybe he could fix that tonight. He slips into it all with practiced ease. It's easier now when he's sober. And then, he remembers how he was able to traipse aorund the damn thing all night. "Hey- this is it right?" He asked, the jacket hanging off his shoulders as he picks off a loose sequin and tossed it on the ground.

Andres is busy sniffling into his soup. He's no longer falling asleep where he sat, and instead greedily eating hot broth and thick pork cuts. Despite the small breaks he seemed to need to drink water and fan himself, he seemed content. [break][break]

The man is slow to process this, like most situations with Onyx. But the panting slows as his eyes widen and flushed face grows hotter with shame. "Fuck! Don't-!" He whined tossing a balled up napkin at him. [break][break]

"You're ruining the surprise!" He whined hiding his face behind his hands while he miraculously balanced the bowl of soup on his lap. He doesn't have the energy for this. He couldn't play it off in this state, bedridden and slow brained.

Distantly, there's the sound of excited barking at Chuchi finds and herds away another Minior to who knows where. It doesn't break Andres' concentration. He doesn't turn to Onyx, not noticing the man's eye on him. [break][break]

He smiles before opening his mouth to correct something as she realized he misspoke. "It's one of good things I've found out here." He doesn't dare look at Onyx, dare offer insight. He only grins at the night sky before downing the last of his glass and setting it back down with care on the picnic blanket.

His voice dries up as he remembers the costume and his first taste of Onyx. The words he said that made his head spin "Yeah..." he said blinking away the memories and trying to focus on the present. "I have your jacket too." He added before he could stop himself. "I- well it-...I kept it. It smelled like you so I...-" the truth spills out before he can stop it. [break][break]

Because it's embarrassing enough to admit he'd kept it. Much less Onyx asking him for it again. "Bed. Bedroom. It's-" he swallows hard, as realization hits and excitement grows. His thoughts so easily distracted by one man.

Perhaps its out of surprise, or maybe even in this state Onyx still had strength he couldn't control, but he's yanked forward. Eyes wide as Onyx uses every last bit of strength to kiss him. It's brief, but it shoots through him like lightning. [break][break]

Onyx tries to keep him close, but began to falter as the morphine overtook him. All along- was that why he'd come back to his apartment half dead? Static bubbles and grows inside his head as scrap of thoughts smash and collide together trying to make sense of what just happened. He fell back softly, and Andres just hovered there lips clenched shut and eyes never leaving Onyx's face. [break][break]

Like a statue, he's frozen in place until a nurse bring a cart past the door snapped him out of it and he stood up in surprise. He should get back to Ziadem but...he touched his lips still wondering if he imagined that or not. And he would continue to wonder that all the way home. Andres doesn't deprive himself of one last caress of Onyx's hair before whispering, "Good night." And then he went to go sort out his thoughts.

And hopefully not get his eyes pecked out from smiling so much.

Onyx's drugged up words give him pause, feeling pink creep up his neck and ears. He knows Onyx is out of it, loopy and disoriented. He's in for a rough recovery, and an unexpected life change. This was a serious visit and yet- he couldn't help feel something flutter in his ribcage at that smile. It's scary and exciting all at once. Because he can't gage Onyx and yet he can. There's no mask, no pretending right now. And maybe that's why its so scary. Onyx is being honest, and maybe Andres was always woefully unprepared for what Onyx might say to him in honesty. "T-Thank you for saying that." he murmured already replaying the moment in his head. He watched Onyx's eyes slip close and waited, having promised to stay with him until he rested. Slowly the one eye closes and Andres gives it a minute, watching over him, taking a careful look to relay to Ziadem. In the middle of memorizing his visage, the man wakes up, and Andres is immediately attentive. "Onyx? What is it?" he whispered, getting up immediately and leaning closer to the silly man.

He's quiet as he let Onyx talk and felt himself calming down. There was no more yelling, no storming out. No mocking laughter. It's almost normal...like he'd made a big deal over nothing. But he likes the sound of his voice and the way he holds him and Andres can put those negative thoughts aside. He can enjoy this fleeting moment for what it was and die happy. [break][break]

Onyx finds humor in this. Andres finds him adorable. Even if he'd been crying only moments ago. He wipes his eyes. "I did." he asserted softly. "When you kissed me- I-" it had been all over after that. He didn't want to let go. Crazy is what Onyx had called him and maybe he was. A little bit. [break][break]

But this had to be a good sign. Onyx is talking, staying. And then he kisses him and he felt his face burn red hot. Andres pushes back, hungry and desperate after his confession. It doesn't take any convincing for him to respond in turn. And then Onyx pulls away and Andres nearly kisses chase, leaning closer until he talks. The question is poised and he almost doesn't answer because he's busy focusing on the way Onyx's calloused hands feel on his skin. [break][break]

"I- I would...too." There's a small nod as he looks back into a lone, brilliant blue eye. "I wanted." he echoed before

Onyx isn't taking it well, shattering any and every expectation he'd had. Somehow, Onyx just playing the part, making fun of him would've felt better than this. He hates how much he relaxes when Onyx grabs him, how much he trusts to the guy that couldn't even admit he liked him. Maybe he was just a pity fuck. But it wasn't like he hadn't made himself one either. [break][break]

He's laughing. Andres is crying from an embarrassing high school memory, and Onyx was laughing. But when he says us in disbelief he feels marginally happier, before proceeding to kick himself in his head. He loved this bastard man, despite it all. He thinks, that despite all this, its nice that Onyx tried to comfort him. Soft kisses peppered on his face soften him in his anger and grief. Crazy. Another way to say dumb. [break][break]

"You're inside me. I assumed that was the plan." At least, that had been Andres' plan. He can't stay mad at Onyx though, wrapping his arms around him again. Kissing him back when he catches his lips. Because even after all this, he would take what he could get. He would die tonight, but at least it'd be without regrets. "Don't go." His voice is small, a plea. "W-we don't have to do anything. I just-" he rambled a bit before cutting himself off. "I'm not miserable. So stay." he lied. But the alternative was do die alone.
