and yet here they are: dancing together in the grand ballroom of the observatory, and despite being surrounded by so many people, he finds it easy to slip into their own little bubble, ignoring everything and everyone else around them.

soon, the song comes to an end before it transitions seamlessly into the next. he doesn't want to stop, so he carries on.

beautiful instruments sound around them, playing a melody he doesn't quite recognize, but knows to be fitting for a slow dance, as evident by others around them.

and so he turns around to face her, reaches for her hip, and starts swaying with the flow of the music.

at her tease, he panics a little, shaking his head as he tries to recover.

not that he goes often anymore, but he definitely spent his fair share of nights clubbing when he was younger.

with another sip, he gestures over to the space in the middle.

"come on. we can look dumb together."

it's colder than usual but the chill floats right past him. he nods, grateful that she shared something that's probably quite intimate.

so he leaves it at that, and after another sip, he turns to look at her.
