when no name was offered, and the redhead just waltzed away to deal with her pokémon, vesper opened the water bottle and took a drink. then she turned her attention back to the crate until she was addressed.

as her name is called, she turns and looks to the redhead. it's then, with that sour attitude, and that near scowl, that it dawns on her. the penny drops. it's like she's hit with a ton of bricks. all labeled 'vesper you idiot' and 'realization you dumbass.'

"lovely lady adler." the nickname she'd given allrianne the first time they'd met falls from her mouth. "i have no unused pokéballs on me, unfortunately. i'm gonna assume you don't either..."

with that, she glances at the beach, the sky, and then toward the inner thick of the island.

"...braving the island's probably a bad idea," she then promptly starts walking toward the woods. "but what choice do we have?"

vesper almost wants to laugh. because for whatever reason, the way that this redhead had just downed the bottle and thrown a small hissy fit while drinking it, then tossed it in the sand like it was a sucker she didn't like, was hysterical. to vesper. maybe not in reality.

she's got a strange sense of humor and her own inside jokes.

"great, that makes one of us i guess." what she means by that is up for interpretation to be honest. "the water i got from a cargo bin that washed up."

vesper stands, brushing sand off of her ass and then glances at the salandit and the espeon. so tiny.

she pulls her attention back to the redhead and admittedly she lets her eyes linger a few curves before finally turning and headed up toward said cargo bin.

a crate filled with water that was for the voyage.

"so far, we're the only survivors that have washed up. at least, on this shore. didn't wanna just leave you, so i stuck around."

in other words, she hadn't had time to explore yet.

"morning sunshine."

vesper had been awake for about ten minutes. she'd gotten woken up by one of her muks minimizing themselves, moving into her lungs, and pushing the water up and out, only for her to throw her muk up as well. super great, she had really fucking loved that. stellar.

either way, she sits now, not far away from the redhead that she'd made sure was breathing, but left to wake up on her own. the coughing fit, however, has not surprised her. what does surprise, her, however, is the fact that the little espeon managed to make it.

sure, her muks did, but they'd just floated to the water's surface. all of her other pokémon?

probably drowned. eh. who knew.

but she holds out a makeshift cup of sorts, with fresh water inside of it.

"i'm vesper hale, want some water?"

first she offers her name as an ice breaker and then she offers the water.
