Adriana speeds through the water back towards Mt. Pyre on the back of Fluyt the Swampert. She’s returning from taking the first wave of people off of the island and down to the relative safety of the docks on Route 123. She leaps off of Swampert’s back and runs up the shore, just in time to hear Victor Wexler ‘s speech. [break]

She nods along, paying close attention to his assessment of the situation. She trusts him wholeheartedly to know the best thing to do. [break]

Vic said by air was the safest way to go about it, but she knows Fluyt can take more people faster by water. She makes the judgment call, directing a pair of people onto the Swampert’s back and gives a sharp whistle, sending them off into the waves and towards the opposing shoreline.[break]

Her part in the evacuation handled, she turns back towards the mountain. Sweat forms on her brow as she takes in the scene. A Ranger is down, though it looks like they have more than enough help already. Subdue the threats… She pulls a ball off her belt and looks at it. She’s holding onto this Stufful for  but if the Captain wanted them subdued, this was a pretty safe bet. [break]

She tosses the ball, releasing the Stufful. It’s big adorable eyes and CUTE CHARM directed at Krookodile. Adriana waits with bated breath, hoping the rampage of the Shadow Pokemon slows down, but nothing works. “Try the other one!” she orders, hoping the Krookodile was just the wrong gender. Stufful turns to find Aggron, putting on the cutest face it can. [break]

But still, nothing. No reaction from either of the Shadows. [break]

“Hey!” She shouts out to her fellow Rangers. “Doesn’t seem like I can infatuate either of them to slow them down! Anyone else have ideas? Vic?”[break]

But in the moments when her back is turned, Aggron makes its move, swiping its tail and sending Stufful flying. The little bear faints almost instantly from the impact and Adriana, turning her attention back to the battle, just barely is able to dive and catch it’s unconscious form before it flies past her.[break]

Right. Don’t take your eyes off the Shadows. She hides behind a rock and gently taps Stufful’s Pokeball to its forehead, recalling it and letting it rest. A game plan… She needed to distract it while CJ tends to Lux’s injuries. [break]

She pulls another ball out, sending Schooner the Vaporeon into the fray. “Alright, we gotta keep em distracted! You know what to do!”[break]

The Vaporeon goes translucent for a second before rematerializing, appearing a slightly darker shade of blue to signify the boost in Defense it received from using the move. The shadow Pokemon dwarf the smaller Vaporeon, but it stands strong alongside its allies, ready to defend the people and Pokemon of the island.
