many a time she'd have to administer some sort of pain medication for a man's poor stomach, or prescribe something to help him with the nausea - only because he had a bit too much a heart and too little of the heart to tell her about her cooking. the poor, poor man. she hums, taking another skewer and casually sliding the meat slices onto them. [break][break]

"the sister.. i think her name is daphne?" she hums again, putting down a skewer, and moving onto the next. "it baffles me to know there are people who can't cook.." she's grumbling, but oh, she knew someone who was horrible at cooking. two people, actually. it's a good thing that both of them were wealthy. and doctors. [break][break]

"thankfully, he doesn't seem to mind, and he's a good cook." she sighs softly, taking a free (and clean) hand to brush up against her forehead, pushing her bangs out of her face. for once. "so he can teach her, if she isn't a lost cause."

he sounds like someone she knows, someone who knew her before the drastic change (before she killed who she was, and was left unsure of who she wanted to be). her eyes slowly shut, though now she rises a hand to gently hook under the eyepatch she wears, tugging the white string from behind her ears. [break][break]

the dual tone of violet and ashen blue turn to gaze at the passing clouds in the night. her chest rises, then lowers, and the words escape her in the face of the endless night. "am i?" she hums, folding the eyepatch to press into the lap of her skirt. [break][break]

"i think i'm in a better state now" and she pauses, wearing a small, yet wry smile on her lips "compared to how i acted while we were trapped in the cyberscape, that is." [break][break]

the panic isn't something she can forget easily. she'll still wish.

it's a small pout, unamused when she squints. suddenly the idea of kicking water at him is becoming a lot more appealing, and would you look at that, she's walking a bit more into the water, catching up to a man as she walks just in the tide. "i think i know who you're talking about." and she'll groan at the image of him. looks like he was finally starting to sink his grubby little fangs in her. poor girl. [break][break]

"i'm offended, though" now she narrows her eyes, and his small series of laughter makes this all the more tempting to do. and, would you look at that? because she lifts her leg a bit, creating a small wave with the side of her foot before opting to splash a man with the sea water. this is her defiance. [break][break]

"one, i said acquaintance. and two--" she starts to kick up another wave, trying to send it over to him a second time "is it so surprising to hear that i talk to people?" no, she isn't happy with that. it'd be easier to take her seriously, were it not for the small pout on her lips - you can practically draw parallels to her and the red gyarados in the distance.

it happens quickly. [break][break]

it happens too quickly. she's already processed what happened to her head, and her eye, and her ear - and she's lucky that a part of her brain wasn't taken along for the ride. but now it's so troublesome, trying to listen to the words with one ear. now it's hard for her to eep one eye open, and she wants to open both, only to realize the other one is gone. is this what they called a phantom limb? she hates it. [break][break]

but if there's something she's sure about, she isn't dead, and her body is still working - it's just that the attached senses are no longer there. and she has to wonder if this is the real world, or reality. when she thinks hard.. the voice said something about multiple dimensions? a complex network? ah, it's too much information to take in, and she's starting to wish she stayed home. things were so complicated, and so complex, but this explains all the anomalies that were happening in the region. some of them, at least. not sufficiently, but it will do. [break][break]

Leonidas Stone is trying to be optimistic in this kind of situation, and she can't help but to wonder how. then she remembers who she's talking about, and all her answers are suddenly answered. "that's good to hear--" she's picking herself up, letting a soft sigh escape her lips. at the same time, she staggers, and another scan runs the large group of trainers over. it's then when marisol holds the remainder of her face in her hand, and she pauses. [break][break]

it's a feeling that wells up, filling what used to be apathy and indifference. it's something that she hasn't felt in a long time, in so long. [break][break]

she doesn't feel the void; she feels an entire zoo. but she's trying to figure out why she's lowering her other hand to hold her heart, and why she's starting to pant a little more quickly. she takes a step back, staring at the unfamiliar woman through the glass. her eyes are empty, but she stares at her, and wendy doesn't quite understand. "wh-what the--" she's staring at her reflection, and yet she doesn't even know. [break][break]

she looks around, and still recognizes leonidas. but when she tries to think, and recall their relationship, she can't put a finger on it (rather she can't remember what she thinks, or feels, or how she acts). it's void and when she thinks too hard, she holds her head and winces. "i-i don't--" wendy stammers, and for once her eyes are filled with such a familiar fear. when she glances around, she recognizes the figure of Cillian Quinn, the same man who.. kicked her out of rocket, or let her go, or just let her run away from rocket how long ago. what did she do in the time in between? [break][break]

she doesn't want to find out, and her hands reach to search for a pokeball, only to feel only three. three pokemon who are so unfamiliar. "where--" she starts with a whisper, gradually rising into panic as she searches her belt "sero..?! where's sero?!" the frantic panic escalates until wendy's confusion reaches a peak, when she feels the locks of pale blue. [break][break]

she's panicked, and frantic, but there's one thing for certain; gavin merlino is here, and her leg still remembers the stinging. [break][break]

so she grabs the wrist of the man who knows her, and who she knows, but can't remember anything about herself. "i-i don't know." she glances back, with one eye. gavin has disappeared, but she doesn't want to be here, with all the chaos. "i just d-don't want to be here..!"[break][break]

it's ironic that her feet bring her to the past.

how nostalgic. how pleasant the nights were, when the bustling city was emptied out. she remembers back when she wandered here, with pokemon in hand - and it just so happens that an old addition has returned. though it's been a year? or two? she can't quite remember, the sylveon still walks at her side with ribbon feelers wrapped around her fingers. [break][break]

"you don't need to do this, sero." a rare smile comes to her lips as the sylveon lets out a bright and cheery whistle. some things never change.

a toxtricity comes out, ready and rearing to offer some electricity to the ampharos. her eyes are narrowed as she reaches back into the bag, grabbing a fair amount of wires and stickies identical to the ones she paste onto the yellow sheep. "alright, if they're willing." she gently bites the bundle of wires (all covered with clear rubbery plastic, so she'll be safe) as she begins to replace the input side of the device. [break][break]

when it's secured, she peels the pasties to expose the sticky part of it, and she scoots over, closer, to the purple electric pokemon. "it'll be a little cold or chilling at first, but try to bear with it, okay?" she's gentle with it, still, even though they aren't the ones that need this treatment. [break][break]

it doesn't take long, then she glances back to the machine to power it on. numbers light up as she places the machine to the ground, her hands on the knobs. when she gives the lizard a nod, the wires begin to light up, the electricity running through the wires and into the device. then, she carefully turns the knob, slowly, watching as the flow of electricity leaves from the other side towards the ampharos. [break][break]

she turns the knob at a steady pace, until faint sparks can be seen on the yellow sheep. she's focused on the machine, although after a few moments, she can lean back and let out a soft sigh. [break][break]

"dealing with electricity is always a little nerve-wrecking.."
