"we're not cops, jesse," alecis retorted in a tired manner. she wasn't really going to start or do any bit of a report of any kind. if anything, she just wanted to get this over with an cash in the check the worried parents would present them with. "we just have to return the kid and we'll be out on our own again," she added, focusing on the shifting scenery around them. while jesse focused on driving, she had little to nothing to say. it had been an incredibly long day already with this fiasco undergone by the two of them and she was ready to go home and practice some stunts for her next show on her own time and at her own pace. it was never too fun partaking in mental gymnastics with other people but she supposed seeing the kid happily reuniting with his family was a good extra tip at the end of the task they had taken on.[break]
waving off the kid once he reunited with his 'parents' (moreso the father than the mother who seemed annoyed that he was back), alecis looked to jesse and gave him a quiet fingergun motion - obviously ready to drop dead at home. "let's just get home," she hoped out loud, already getting back into his car.

the jellicent was quite adorable, really. it looked up at the large wailord with its similarly large head and the two water types seemed to nod at one another in quiet greeting. maybe the wailord was native to these parts? alecis was charmed by the simplicity of the gestures and decided to let the wailord prop up the jellicent using a water spout, making it optimal to catch with a pokeball thrown in its direction. the jellicent would be a cute holiday addition amidst the tinsel and other decorations put up at the trainer's home.

"watch out now," alecis warned her new wailord softly, rubbing a small spot of its large head as it simply swam around the huntail, trying its best not to disturb the slice of the body of water it was in. alecis was pleased by the obedience of the water type under her care and kept doing what a new dog owner would do - kept petting it and obsessing over how adorable it was. while this large pokemon could easily swallow her and all her team, it seemed more than happy to just give a close-eyed smile as it kept drifting along.

alecis was starting to feel a little proud of herself for having so many pokemon under her belt. her recent acquisition of a lucky wailord made her exploration of areas such as the water routes so much easier, the large pokemon just humming a single low note as if just happy to get to feel the water splitting in two before its mighty push through it. alecis was admiring the large lunk she could now call her own, patting its body as she looked around its perimeter at any possible pokemon that would try to cause it any harm. with her other pokemon in tow, she was ready to let the big boy bond with her - with the proper cautions, of course.

with all the snow starting to dwindle from use, alecis had took it upon herself to harass their lovely darmanitan judge. having no ice pokemon - such as lapras - of her own, she slipped it a few head and belly pats to use a soft blizzard to replenish at least two inches of snow. using this to her advantage, she started on the next piece of her snowboy with a smile. instead of turning to jesse, she allowed the snow he threw at her to pelt her back. knitting her brows at the newfound cold on her form, she laughed as well - turning with a challenging smirk. [break]
this smirk fell flat and then twitched into a lopsided grin shortly after. "you're getting me a gift?" no duh. it was christmas season. "you know, given how much i've had you tag along with me these days, i didn't quite expect you to feel the need to get me anything." it was an almost cliche answer to say 'oh no, don't get me anything' but it was true. alecis felt more indebted that anyone could imagine themselves being, her pokemon once again going to pick up her slack as she went to rub a few last bits of snow from the man's face. "just let me hang out and make us something to eat, i guess?" a last-minute wish, but a genuine one nonetheless. a quiet dinner seemed like a cozy idea for the two of them.

"you're a bit of a perfectionist, hm?" weird for someone in a profession many looked down upon as 'easy' and 'simple', but interestingly so. alecis didn't think jesse was at fault for taking any of his work seriously, even when it came to something as innocent and endearing as making snowboys. the way he took pride in his work only drove her to be more and more competitive, her lungs aching for hot chocolate or anything to take the edge off from the cold but she pushed through, putting together yet another piece of snow with a mind not as artistically gifted as the blonde man but still capable of holding a flame to his talents.[break]

"catch!" instead of throwing a fortified piece of snow (snowball or otherwise), she splashed him with some snow mist. this was simply meant to be playful as she took a break between then and making yet another piece of the snowboy, enjoying the way society seemed to come together to enjoy the festivities. it was a nice break from working all day.

the breath was taken slightly from alecis's lungs upon seeing the large ice-type simply minding its own business. the poor thing could have been taking a shit and the lavender town native would have been amazed, really. it was such a large and furry friend-shaped being that alecis almost had half the mind to approach it and witness its behavior up close. of course, this was still a wild pokemon and so a fair distance had to be maintained. looking back at her group of pokemon, she knew she didn't have the ability to really spare much of any one of them either, worried about their health since she didn't have many offensive units on her side as of yet. the best she could do was ambush the big mammoth-type pokemon and she did so with as much stealth and care she could, plodding through the snow with one a one-eyed happy honedge that revved up them fryers upon not being used as a snowboard. a hefty pursuit came for the piloswine, hoping to catch it off guard as alecis double-teamed the pokemon with a pokeball follow-up.

despite her age, alecis was still 'hip with the kids' enough to know the meme that sunk into her entire body as she traversed the horrifying new landscape. in contrast to her previous adventure, the silent icelands were another hell in itself. it was in a moment of curiosity that alecis found herself out here, her honedge vibrating happily and quickly as if it had returned home. it was strange to see the pokemon behave in such a way, but she chalked it up to it possibly sensing fellow steel types around. regardless, there might be an interesting ice type or two that alecis had not known of before and she had tucked her three dittos into cozy little christmas socks to keep them warm while she explored.

despite constantly making fun of her 'old, aching bones', there was always space for some childish mischief in alecis's behavior. "don't fuck up your snowboy, huh?" this wasn't a question, it was a tentative thought that she was bound to overstep and go against. already using her honedge like a flat surface to pack snow against, the poor ghost type almost sighed ... if it had a mouth. truth be told, alecis did favor her ditto troupe, given they'd been adventuring for much longer together, but the honedge had easily fit into the team as a depressed father type figure who would easily leave them all for a pack of smokes. "your snowboy is coming along well ... almost too well, some would say." despite this ominous threat and the looming promise of a honedge full of snow dunked on his head, alecis hummed happily as she continued sculpting her own snow ... figure of sorts. it wasn't exactly much of anything yet unless one counted a snow halfling a snowboy in the making, but it was getting there.[break]
"i'm glad you're on my side. we'll make the best snowboys out here." very promising, coming from a conniving individual.
