After taking that drink Naia's face would instantly scrunch up, the bitter taste something she wasn't expecting along with.. burning? Is this why people say that alcohol warms you up?

[break][break]“I have won a gachapon ticket out of it, so my luck at the slots is not too terrible.”

[break][break]Naia's face would attempt to soften up at Elise's voice, her eyes darting from the princess's face down to the slot machine and back to her. Any social suave person would perhaps expand on that, maybe compliment her luck but Naia found herself lost for words, In truth all of the conversations she wanted to ask wouldn't be appropriate. Or more accurately dangerous.

[break][break]“And please pardon my lateness in introducing my name…and that I am not so good with newer people. My name is Elise Calcifet, a pleasure to be meeting you both.”

[break][break]"Please, pleasure is mine. I'm Mirabelle Bernadette Fontaine. It's an honor meet a fellow royal even in place such as thing. Ah. I see we new company."

[break][break]Naia would tense up when they begun to introduce themselves, a tinge of guilt after she had realized she forgot one of the most basic and important things a person needed to do--especially in business. All she needed was to just say something however the growing anxiety she felt at the idea of her mother finding out sealed her lips shut, however all wasn't lost as Mirabella kept a conversation going.

[break][break]"I had obtain Salac berry. One of my favorite kind. They known to have a quite sweet and sour taste. Some even say its favorite snack of Rayquaza due long ago having power of the sky but I don't know about that. I'd the slot machines are rather generous tonight. Why not give a try?"

[break][break]She knew how to talk, honestly they both did, poise and elegance flowed through their every word and the very fact alone made Naia even more tense. Even more so when Naia's grip on her drink would intensify even further as Mirabella even offered her a coin from her purse. It was truly a kind gesture but did Naia take it? Was it rude to push it away?

[break][break]It was a second that felt like eternity for Naia before she eventually cave and meekly make her way over to the woman in red, taking the coin from her. It was good that she became preoccupied with something else in the crowd as the expression on Naia's face twisted into one of confusion. Was this really all it cost to use this machine? She thought it would have been more.

[break][break]"Thank you.."

[break][break]Naia would make her way over to a seat, choosing to sit beside her main target for the night, Elise, and thus sandwiching between the two women now. It was when she slid the coin in what looked to be the right slot did she look over to the both, her ears slightly turning red.

[break][break]"Oh.. I-I'm Naia.. Kayode.. My apologies.. For the late introduction. It's.. a pleasure to meet you both.."

[break][break]She felt a bit calmer sitting down, less exposed to the outside world and so with a far less of a noticeable stutter to her voice, instead she spoke with a slow cadence. Though in part some of it was hesitation, especially when it came to giving her last name.

[break][break]"Casinos aren't here aren't like the one in kalos or I have been told. However the grand reopening of this one shows a lot of promise wouldn't you say least by the turn out."

[break][break]While the woman spoke, Naia curiously looked over the machine, her eyes peering out across the floor to witness how others have used it before attempting to pull down the lever herself. The loud sound from the machine made her jump, and without wanting to draw too much attention to herself, she'd take the bullet and take another drink.

[break][break]Especially for Rocket, they seemed happy to get it back and running, but that didn't need to be said. Once Naia looked back at her machine she couldn't help but nervously laugh.

[break][break]She understood that her question was a loaded one, however the shorter and sweeter response was far more appreciated than any sort of speech. It made it far easier to tell that this was less of a physiological change, less of a power scale and far more to do with capabilities and accomplishments. And that without a fact, while this wasn't a goal Naia had in mind, it would be something she probably could never reach.

[break][break]The slight hesitation in her voice wasn't because she didn't want to be seen talking to him on the cameras, or that she forced a thank you out of curtsy but instead due to her awe in how easily he seemed to be shift. Naia barely was able to force herself into having a genuine smile even when she was happy yet he seemed to have such a natural control. It was a bit unsettling but it was fascinating too.

[break][break]She purposefully kept her eyes away from the ceiling, not wanting to draw any unnecessary attention to his Pokémon as she'd follow him in tow. When he knocked upon the knock and put on his, what Naia has now dubbed as his customer face, she couldn't help put attempt a smile herself. A hand raising up to touch the corners of her mouth to feel if she was doing it right, but even then she could feel the corner of her mouth twitching slightly.

[break][break]It was when the door open did her smile dropped, while in the moment she hopped that it wasn't noticeable but soon Naia would come to realize that it wouldn't matter.

[break][break]"Sorry to interrupt your day, ma'am, but we're with—"

[break][break]Naia had went from a slight furrow of her brows in frustration to a more neutral expression out of shock. Because she had been avoiding looking at his Pokémon she didn't realize how close it had gotten to the woman, or more specially how it entered into her home. Adrenaline and anxiety begun to settle in even when her superiors had clasped his hand over her mouth, Naia's hand stealthily reaching for her purse as he'd push her further into the apartment.

[break][break]Since he was preoccupied Naia would simply let herself in as well, making sure to lightly close the behind him as if two friends were visiting and with a click she'd lock the door. Letting her Espurr drop down to the ground Naia first and foremost wanted to get rid of any potential obstacles, going through a mental check list of things to keep track of. Did they have their Pokéballs on them? Was there a Pokémon already out? Did she have a clear shot? And most importantly--

[break][break]A chair moved in another room, it wasn't like something knocked it over but it had some weight to it and if that wasn't convincing enough a gruff voice with a hint of concern echoed from the other room.

[break][break]"Yo Vanessa, what was that about?"

[break][break]Was there supposed to be a second person? Was this a deserter? A friend? A partner? More importantly did it really matter? Naia quickly threw a glance over at Zev, her insecurities showing for a second before she'd take in a deep breath and reached into her purse, taking out her firearm. Was this any different from her other missions at this point, at least it wasn't three or 20 people, one or the possibility or two was fine.

[break][break]"Light Screen."

[break][break]She'd speak quietly giving a nod towards Zev's Ariados to dirrect her pokemon as she'd take a second to pull her skirt open and press against the wall. The little Espurr wasting no time to throw it's little paws up and manifest what looked to be thin layers of psychic energy on his Pokémon. At least then if a fairy Pokémon could come out of the wood works then he'd at least have some extra protection while Naia on the other hand just waited for the sign of someone stepping through the door way.

[break][break]She already had her eyes glued and gun aimed at around where she thought their leg would be, so that the moment someone had stepped over the threshold all she needed to do was slightly adjust and shot a couple times at their knee. Maybe a more confident shooter could do it in one hit but she didn't want to leave any room for error and worse case she could miss and instead still get some good damage on some important arteries or damage bones/muscles in their leg in general.

Naia wasn't much of a gambler nor was she much for the night life and parties, which begged the question on why she was even at this sort of event to begin with? First and foremost she didn't attend alone, both her mother and father were dresses to the nines to the point of standing out while Naia on the other hand decided to go for a less flashy and far more modest approach. Well apart for her mother's addition with a slit in her dress so high up it nearly reached her hip.

[break][break]Naia wasn't used to wearing light coloured clothing, even if it did have a skirt that faded into a dark night sky, the majority of it was still white and slight purple in colour. Meaning that it could get stained pretty easily, another worry on her mind in addition to all of the loose jewelry on her. The dress had so many dangling pieces of gold and gems and even the skirt where some of the stars were had gems imbedded into it. The dress just felt like a burden from how overkill it was.

[break][break]Still it was all a small compromise to what her mother would typically try to force her into, always bickering about how 'You'll only be able to catch a man if you show yourself off' a rant she no longer had to hear anymore thank to Remiel. For better or for worse, her mother was more occupied with Naia's appearance and-- as Naia would look down at her hand to her engagement ring for her fake engagement-- making sure her daughter was properly showing people she was already sold.

[break][break]Once the speech was over her mother instantly left her side, most likely to find potential business partners among the mass of people, Naia grew increasingly uncomfortable in her own skin. Arms crossed under her chest as she bashfully tried to hide the sight of her arms through the light and see through fabric as well as her ring she typically hid under gloves. The worse part is that she couldn't escape quickly to a quite corner of the casino, the length of her dress would be a serious tripping hazard even with her gathering some of it in her hands. Especially if she gathered any more of it she'd just open the slit more resulting in.. the worse case scenario.

[break][break]Breathe.

[break][break]Looking around for her escape she managed to catch wind of a familiar voice, even if they were wearing a mask she could recognize them any where. Hitoshi Inoue was the last person she wanted to get stuck with, while he wasn't unkind in any way his constant rambling tired her out and she definitely not make it through the night. So quickly making a beeline away she gave her silent apologizes to the man he was sitting with, Gwyar Wledig .

[break][break]The place was crowded, loud and very hot; it was for that very reason why she decided that perhaps she should go over to the bar and get herself something to drink. Admittedly Naia had never been to one before, her life was constantly booked with school work, jobs, and now Rocket assignments that date nights were never a think and alcohol didn't really appeal to her, but even so, she knew she was going to need to get SOMETHING to drink at this point.

[break][break]"C-Could I get so-something refreshing..?"

[break][break]Naia's mind was racing, since she never had ordered anything like this before she didn't know if it was inappropriate to just ask for water. Or that there were specific drinks you had to ask for, was she doing this all wrong? Was she supposed to pay first? All the while she was having mental warfare on herself, the couple near by ( Leilani Ka’uhane & Jack Magnus ) didn't completely go on noticed.

[break][break]"Wait, does this have an--"

[break][break]Just as her glass was pushed in front of her and she was about to ask if it was alcoholic or not, it seemed that Naia was far too close to their peak of outwardly and openly flirtatious affection, taking note of his hand squeezing the other woman's hips. Instantly she became uncomfortable and rather than pursuing the matter any further she'd just quickly slap down a large bill onto the counter and took off with her drink and a quick,

[break][break]Where was she supposed to go to next? Thus far she hadn't found any friends from Rocket and with the amount of people around she was starting to think that maybe it was better to go somewhere quiet or playing some games by herself then deal with the social pressure of it all. It was when she was passing by did she notice Elise Calcifet or more specifically her family crest she wore, subconsciously causing Naia to nervously twirl her ring as she seriously considered taking it off.

[break][break]She begun to speak without thinking, a second of panic showing on her face as she'd bring her glass closer to her lips, but not taking a sip instead almost using it as a shield between her and the two, Elise and Mirabella Fontaine .

[break][break]"H-How.. have.. the slots been?"

[break][break]There was a bit of a pause, her shoulders raising up as she was starting to turtle a bit before continuing.

[break][break]"I mean.. an-any good luck for.. you two?"

[break][break]Then she'd take a sip, her eyes averting away. Yup, it burns.

Naia's anxiety didn't dissipate even with Gerald's smile and in all honesty she highly doubted anything he would do at this point would ever alleviate the anxiety she felt. Rarely did she ever make choices for herself, especially when it came to something this huge; changing the whole dynamic of her relationship with Rocket was a big deal and typically her mother would need to have a say in it.

[break][break]What would her mother do if Naia had unwittingly put a wrench in her plans? Even though she told him to wait, for some reason she felt like she already signed a contract. It's very hard to take your word back..

[break][break]“Well, I will be looking forward to hearing from you.”

[break][break]She noticed he stood up. Was he just going to leave? Her guilty conscious was in overdrive and the idea of letting him just walk home when she was about to call in a ride just felt wrong in that moment.

[break][break]She already at this point was dialing her driver's number, so either way the car was coming.

He was face paced and upbeat, the complete opposite of Naia. Once he made it clear that he didn't want any of her goodwill cookies, she'd just casually place them inside of her bag for now. It didn't really bother her and if anything if he never ends up taking any she'd just have more for herself, this was entirely a win-win situation for her.

[break][break]While they made way to their friends Naia found herself purposefully lagging behind him by a step or two, she just wanted to take in a moment to really look and observe the people around her. [break][break]Naia eyes would widen a bit before she'd look away, she didn't want to seem rude but she was honestly taken back for how long that was. It either meant he was way older than he looked or he joined when he was really young, either way were both shocking in itself. Though rather than surprise, it brought Naia to thought about his next response. So far she had heard of people discontent or tired from Rocket, but never really described it as enjoyable-- well Dorian kind have before.

[break][break]Was he more like a Dorian?

[break][break]With that ding Naia followed in suit into the elevator, her eyes instantly drawing where most cameras would be located, only to find that there wasn't any. Then again it didn't seem like this building was putting a lot of their funds into security in the first place, once those doors closed once more did Naia instantly noticed the shift in his demeanor. Such a quick and precise change she didn't know she should be impressed or disturbed by it, but that wouldn't have been on the fore front of her thoughts as much as his next words were.

She had been moving while he spoke, specifically she wanted to check to see if her gun was ready to be pulled out at any moment, but just as she heard that word her hand froze mid way through her bag. She was primarily a dark user and sure she did have some psychic Pokémon but they were mainly supportive rather than offensive. How on earth was she supposed to bring that up now?

[break][break]Now her attention wasn't on checking the gun but instead sorting out where Jude was, the small clicks of Pokémon balls bumping into each other before she'd pull one out and let her Espurr out. Once he was out Naia would swoop down and pick him up, a tiny yet monotone of a 'purr' left him, as she'd look back at Zev.

[break][break]"Any last questions for me?"

[break][break]She had a lot, but could all of them really be answered in a short time or were really considered that important. Her eyes would shift away from his face to give a quick uneasy glance over at his Ariados, something about having a predator up on the ceiling just seemed to rub her the wrong way.
