Emma glances back to see that the Omastar has entirely shed its shell. It's revolting, so she looks away.[break][break]

Meanwhile, the Salazzle hesitates before stepping on the Zorua that has been zipping around the area. Or wait, it looked like a Gallade. Yeah, the Gallade almost stepped on her. The nerve.[break][break]

Emma finds her breath slows in his presence, eyes focused on the way his body leans toward hers. She doesn't try to hide the taunting smirk that graces her face, pulls her lip back.[break][break]

And when he caresses her hip she feels a breath escape her before her attention is captured entirely by his cold lips against hers. She can taste the spice of his drink that he had decided to trade with her. His affection is dizzying and bold.[break][break]

When he pulls away his smirk remains and she watches him with quiet awe. He thanks her and she smiles, reaching for the heat wave. She winks at him in response before taking a sip.

She looks like a real cowboy out here, hair flying, eyes narrowed. She's dodging debris and hanging on tight as Scolipede climbs the rock walls and lands with a thud every time. She is by no means a smooth ride and she would need some TLC later when it came to rolling out her tense muscles.[break][break]

Worth it for the gold medal though, right?[break][break]

Given that they're flying through the course at max speed, Emma is confident they have this in the bag.[break][break]

Someone else's Pokemon manages to conjure up a barrier of COTTON GUARD, and, in response, Slurpuff combats the challenge with even more sugary sweet defence. Nothing can penetrate their barrier of sugar.[break][break]

Emma raises an eyebrow at the kid, but her lips are pursed in the slightest hint of amusement. She just might be a little bit impressed by the Slowbro's ingenuity.[break][break]

Alcremie reapplies an acid armor and Katherine seems to be holding up as well.[break][break]

Another NASTY PLOT, another second staying in the game. It helps focus the mind, and the Salazzle's long-ranged attacks hit home. They're succeeding, slowly but surely.[break][break]

Emma blasts someone clear off their feet, and she watches as the rest of her team sees progress in similar and probably less violent ways. She's honestly having fun, given the devilish grin on her face.[break][break]

She lingers a moment on the kid who's Slowbro acts as a mimic. It's a good tactic but she's honestly unsettled by the way both it and the Omastar are so willing to kill themselves to win. [break][break]

To her side, a Drakloak with a young man on top of it whizzes alongside her. She's still eating up more ground, but the effort is there. Her hair slackens from its ponytail and it billows behind her but they never stop their pace.[break][break]

The Scolipede uses AGILITY a second time to get to absolute max speed. Her velocity is so great Emma's cheeks are flapping in the wind.[break][break]

Ariados is lacking sorely in the brute strength department. Emma has to come to the beast for backup and, as she takes down someone along the way, she acts as cover while the Ariados catches her breath and performs a second SWORDS DANCE.[break][break]

Of course, Emma does the exact same thing - looking for leaks. The less water she wasted the better. It meant less breaks to refill and more chances to absolutely demolish this challenge. [break][break]

Her Salazzle opts to be helpful as well, performing a NASTY PLOT to unnerve the opponents. So, while Emma focuses more on objects, Salazzle makes short work of the enemy Pokemon that were affected by her nasty plotting and snickering tone.[break][break]

Emma's Ariados lingers in the Golispod's shadow. It's heavy breathing masks her chittering clanking of her teeth. She's anticipating attacking the course ahead. The obstacles are solid, but her spindly legs are stronger.[break][break]

In preparation, the arachid performs a SWORDS DANCE, boosting her attack by a decent margin. Emma glances to Gavin and his injured shoulder for a moment, a silent warning not to overdo it. A stupid event wasn't worth wrecking all of the progress he had made.[break][break]

Regardless, she would absolutely give this her all. The shot is fired to signal the start and she blasts through, fully prepared to kick ass alongside her Ariados.[break][break]

Emma rolls her shoulders. Honestly, this seemed like a mundane exercise but both Gavin and Katherine had been enamored with the idea of winning that she refused to be the bad guy. Ironic, I know.[break][break]

The woman's Scolipede is massive as she stands next to her. The moment the race starts she tucks herself into a ball, bursting forward with a SPEED BOOSTED AGILITY. Emma holds on somehow for when the Scolipede flattens out for her to ride it.[break][break]
