Since arriving in Hoenn Guinevere had been busy nonstop. Which she didn't mind, it gave her time to check in with family and get some things done that were on her to-do list. Plus she had the added exposure since paparazzi seemed obsessed with covering what the shunned princess of Galar was doing here in their region. [break][break]

But she finally had some time for herself so she decided to go for a walk with her pokemon and explore. She heard exercise was a great way for keeping spirits up among pokemon. Besides, they'd been cooped up as of late so stretching their 'legs' wouldn't be such a bad idea. Though looking at them now she wasn't sure if they would agree. [break][break]

Mimzy, who was waddling beside her, ended up finding something of interest since it had his whole attention. "What are you looking at?" she asked with a frown as he turned slightly to show her the berries he'd found. Gwyn's brown hues widened with alarm as she quickly smacked them away. "Don't eat those! They're poisonous!" Mimzy was startled and seemed upset at first but reluctantly agreed. The plant they had managed to find was Atropa belladonna or nightshade. She'd remember seeing something like this from her studies back in school.[break][break]

It'd been forever since she'd studied such things but she had a knack for remembering pointless things. Well, in this case it didn't seem so pointless after all. "I'll get you a treat later, I promise." While along the way they noticed a swarm of glimmora eerily floating around. "Wanna have some fun?" she asked her team as she readied some pokeballs. What better way to get some exercise than fighting and potentially securing a new friend.[break][break]

Familial Lunch Break [S/Guinevere][C]

It hadn't been long since Guinevere had touched down on Hoenn soil before one of her family members had reached out to her. She couldn't say she was surprised though. She had made a rather dramatic entrance. Besides, she wasn't here by happenstance, she was a woman on a mission. But for today the mission would be put on hold. [break][break]

It would be the first time in many years since Gwyn had seen her cousin Elise. Growing up Elise was one of the few members of her family she didn't actually despise. When she was still a little girl who was being faced with a lot of hate from both the public and her own flesh and blood, Elise and her family were the ones that didn't look at her too differently. [break][break]

She was more than the circumstances of her birth, something Gwyn knew now but growing up she struggled with. Especially when almost everyone around the young princess constantly brought up how un-noble-like her birth was. The thousands of eyes on her back then had been unbearable. [break][break]

Now, she basked in it. Reveled in the chaos and attention. [break][break]

Guinevere arrived at the seafood restaurant where she was supposed to meet her cousin with bodyguards in tow. A few paparazzi were littered around but she figured since she was meeting with the Galarian Ambassador they wouldn't be able to do much harassing. Only photo ops. "Give me a light would ya?" she asked one of her body guards who reached in his pocket for a cigarette. [break][break]

Gwyn leaned in to take the bud in her mouth as she looked around for her cousin. One of her guards lit her cigarette for her and she winked at them. "Thanks, doll." she said as brown orbs scanned the area before landing on a distantly familiar figure. A wicked grin spread across her her lips as she made her way towards her cousin who was seated in the outdoor seating area.[break][break]

She shifted her parasol to properly show her face once she was close as she grinned at her cousin. "Elly, darling~" Guinevere practically sang as she blew a cloud of smoke from her lips. She enjoyed one last puff before dropping the bud to the ground and stomping it out beneath her platformed boot. "Look how much you've grown! How've you been?"

Instead of being greeted by familiar fanfare on horned trumpets and an eager crowd. And instead of a royal procession and meetings arranged with League Officials at her arrival, Guinevere was greeted on Hoenn soil with a myriad of flashing lights and the sounds of multiple shutters going off at once. Soon after she was accosted by the media, microphones and recorders were shoved in her face as paparazzi, tabloids, and reporters alike were hanging onto her every word, or lack thereof. Jet-lagged and irritable the rejected Galarian Princess frowned as her bodyguards carved a path through the masses to help her reach her chauffeured car. Guinevere couldn't even hear the questions over the roar of the masses. Fed up Guinevere flips up two middle fingers adorned with black manicured nails. The shutters of the cameras clicked faster and the flashes of light were blinding but she didn't care as she made her way to her car.

Father, Prince Phillip was the Crown Prince of Galar before his scandalous affair with his mistress cost him the throne (see plotter for more details!)
Attended Finlay Boarding School where she encounter numerous disciplinary troubles yet still managed to graduate top of her class.
Stopped attending high society events at age 13
Relinquished royal responsibilities at age 16

Moved away from Hammerlocke to Wyndon before attending a local Cosmetology school in the area.
At 20, began to work as an assistant MUA (makeup artist) at a television network while starting her online brand 'Barbie Gwyn' at the same time.
Achieved swift success in her MUA endeavors between ages 21-22. Landing major gigs with different television networks and some films in addition to becoming the personal MUA and stylist for several celebrities. At the same time enjoyed steady popularity with her online brand.
Last year suffered along with the rest of the people of Galar due to Necrozma's attacks. Was forced to relocate with the rest of her family to safety at the time.
Instead of returning home once things were clear decided to travel around before setting her sights on Hoenn.

Targeted a CEO who was involved in black market organ sells of underaged girls. Leaked a paper trail of all of the CEO's criminal activity, lead law enforcement to the location where hundreds of wounded and sick girls were stored, secured part of the CEO's wealth and returned it to the victims.
Targeted a celebrity singer who was misusing her assistant by blackmailing her and her family and abusing her. She stole her assistants 'voice' and claimed it as her own and achieved widespread success due to the efforts of her assistant. Exposed the celebrities ties to pyramid scams and assisted the assistant in legally reclaiming her 'voice' and suing the celebrity.

HISTORY

The origins of Guinevere's birth is no secret. In fact, she was wrapped in a scandalous tale of the ages as soon as she took her first breath. Prince Phillip Calcifet, the magnanimous crown prince and heir apparent of Galar's first major scandal was the one that would lead him to his ultimate downfall. Married, he had managed to have an affair with one of the palace's commoner workers and had a child out of wedlock.

To make matters worse for his image his wife was sick and confined to her bed. Though their marriage was an arranged one, the general public was still on the side of his wife. Especially when he openly chose to side with his pregnant mistress instead of his sick wife. At the time, this caused a lot of eyes to be on the Royal Family, and a lot of negative press to be reflected back on them.

During the heat of this scandal, Phillip's sick wife's health took a turn for the worse until ultimately she lost her battle with her illness. It was theorized that the stress from all of this was too much for her body to handle. Which further tanked the public opinion of Prince Phillip. As a result Phillip was forced out of his position as Crown Prince, losing it to his younger sister, now Queen Edelynn II.

Villainized in the media, Prince Phillip hid out of sight and attempted to maintain the peace. He instead focused on spending time with his mistress and their child. Guinevere Calcifet their pride and joy despite the nature of which she was brought into the world. They were well aware that life wouldn't be easy for their daughter and were determined to do their best for her regardless.

It wasn't reveled until years later about the truth of Phillip and his sick wife's relationship. ~~( She had started an affair first and lost her fight against HIV )~~ But at that point it was already too late. Phillip had lost his position to his sister and the opinion of his family and other nobles towards his daughter was already soured. Public opinion on Guinevere was divided. Some didn't like her, other's understood that she didn't ask for this life. So it wasn't her fault.

Tired of being ostracized by her power hungry family who felt threatened by her, she decided to give up on her family and royal responsibilities fairly early. Which, of course, had the public divided. But she didn't care. If she was going to be a disappointment she might as well go all out. She'd live her life the way she wanted to and there was no one who could stop her.

PERSONALITY

Guinevere is a headstrong girl with nerves of steel. Kind of have to be when you consider all the bullshit she had to endure from her family and the press. Quick-witted and equipped with a silver-tongue, Gwyn is relentless when it comes to her enemies yet steadfast when it comes to her allies. She's got a pretty big rebellious streak going on right now. When other's say she can't she just loves to prove them wrong and make them eat their words.

She's pretty confident in herself and her abilities despite how everyone around her seems to tell her she shouldn't be. Still, despite her stubborn side she still has some unresolved issues. Being constantly publicly scrutinized didn't do wonders for her self-confidence. Her strong exterior is mostly a façade she created for herself. She still very much struggles with anxiety and a fear of being abandoned by those she cares about.

CURRENT PLOTS

ROYAL REJECT
Due to the nature of Gwyn's birth, she's not seen in the best light. Public opinion of her is divided while her family and the other nobles in Galar look down on her due to her 'lowly' heritage. Because of this, growing up Gwyn often challenged authority and rebelled further painting her in a bad light. Ultimately she decided to leave behind all her royal duties in favor for living life the way she wanted.

Instead of being greeted by familiar fanfare on horned trumpets and an eager crowd. And instead of a royal procession and meetings arranged with League Officials at her arrival, Guinevere was greeted on Hoenn soil with a myriad of flashing lights and the sounds of multiple shutters going off at once. Soon after she was accosted by the media, microphones and recorders were shoved in her face as paparazzi, tabloids, and reporters alike were hanging onto her every word, or lack thereof. Jet-lagged and irritable the rejected Galarian Princess frowned as her bodyguards carved a path through the masses to help her reach her chauffeured car. Guinevere couldn't even hear the questions over the roar of the masses. Fed up Guinevere flips up two middle fingers adorned with black manicured nails. The shutters of the cameras clicked faster and the flashes of light were blinding but she didn't care as she made her way to her car.

Father, Prince Phillip was the Crown Prince of Galar before his scandalous affair with his mistress cost him the throne (see plotter for more details!)
Attended Finlay Boarding School where she encounter numerous disciplinary troubles yet still managed to graduate top of her class.
Stopped attending high society events at age 13
Relinquished royal responsibilities at age 16
Graduated from Finlay Boarding School a year early, age 17
Moved away from Hammerlocke to Wyndon before attending a local Cosmetology school in the area.
At 20, began to work as an assistant MUA (makeup artist) at a television network while starting her online brand 'Barbie Gwyn' at the same time.
Achieved swift success in her MUA endeavors between ages 21-22. Landing major gigs with different television networks and some films in addition to becoming the personal MUA and stylist for several celebrities. At the same time enjoyed steady popularity with her online brand.
Last year suffered along with the rest of the people of Galar due to Necrozma's attacks. Was forced to relocate with the rest of her family to safety at the time.
Instead of returning home once things were clear decided to travel around before setting her sights on Hoenn.

Targeted a CEO who was involved in black market organ sells of underaged girls. Leaked a paper trail of all of the CEO's criminal activity, lead law enforcement to the location where hundreds of wounded and sick girls were stored, secured part of the CEO's wealth and returned it to the victims.
Targeted a celebrity singer who was misusing her assistant by blackmailing her and her family and abusing her. She stole her assistants 'voice' and claimed it as her own and achieved widespread success due to the efforts of her assistant. Exposed the celebrities ties to pyramid scams and assisted the assistant in legally reclaiming her 'voice' and suing the celebrity.

HISTORY

The origins of Guinevere's birth is no secret. In fact, she was wrapped in a scandalous tale of the ages as soon as she took her first breath. Prince Phillip Calcifet, the magnanimous crown prince and heir apparent of Galar's first major scandal was the one that would lead him to his ultimate downfall. Married, he had managed to have an affair with one of the palace's commoner workers and had a child out of wedlock.

To make matters worse for his image his wife was sick and confined to her bed. Though their marriage was an arranged one, the general public was still on the side of his wife. Especially when he openly chose to side with his pregnant mistress instead of his sick wife. At the time, this caused a lot of eyes to be on the Royal Family, and a lot of negative press to be reflected back on them.

During the heat of this scandal, Phillip's sick wife's health took a turn for the worse until ultimately she lost her battle with her illness. It was theorized that the stress from all of this was too much for her body to handle. Which further tanked the public opinion of Prince Phillip. As a result Phillip was forced out of his position as Crown Prince, losing it to his younger sister, now Queen Edelynn II.

Villainized in the media, Prince Phillip hid out of sight and attempted to maintain the peace. He instead focused on spending time with his mistress and their child. Guinevere Calcifet their pride and joy despite the nature of which she was brought into the world. They were well aware that life wouldn't be easy for their daughter and were determined to do their best for her regardless.

It wasn't reveled until years later about the truth of Phillip and his sick wife's relationship. ~~( She had started an affair first and lost her fight against HIV )~~ But at that point it was already too late. Phillip had lost his position to his sister and the opinion of his family and other nobles towards his daughter was already soured. Public opinion on Guinevere was divided. Some didn't like her, other's understood that she didn't ask for this life. So it wasn't her fault.

Tired of being ostracized by her power hungry family who felt threatened by her, she decided to give up on her family and royal responsibilities fairly early. Which, of course, had the public divided. But she didn't care. If she was going to be a disappointment she might as well go all out. She'd live her life the way she wanted to and there was no one who could stop her.

PERSONALITY

Guinevere is a headstrong girl with nerves of steel. Kind of have to be when you consider all the bullshit she had to endure from her family and the press. Quick-witted and equipped with a silver-tongue, Gwyn is relentless when it comes to her enemies yet steadfast when it comes to her allies. She's got a pretty big rebellious streak going on right now. When other's say she can't she just loves to prove them wrong and make them eat their words.

She's pretty confident in herself and her abilities despite how everyone around her seems to tell her she shouldn't be. Still, despite her stubborn side she still has some unresolved issues. Being constantly publicly scrutinized didn't do wonders for her self-confidence. Her strong exterior is mostly a façade she created for herself. She still very much struggles with anxiety and a fear of being abandoned by those she cares about.

CURRENT PLOTS

ROYAL REJECT
Due to the nature of Gwyn's birth, she's not seen in the best light. Public opinion of her is divided while her family and the other nobles in Galar look down on her due to her 'lowly' heritage. Because of this, growing up Gwyn often challenged authority and rebelled further painting her in a bad light. Ultimately she decided to leave behind all her royal duties in favor for living life the way she wanted.

Often sends a calling card whenever they get involved in matters.
